Chapter 5 (caroline)

"So that was fun" Elaine said taking a hard lemonade from the fridge "yeah it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be" I said "wait did you just admit that you were wrong?" Maddie asked grabbing another beer "yes I did" I said once more. "does anyone else just feel like they want to go out?" Beth asked "yeah, let's just do that, there's a little sea food place a few blocks away" Elaine said throwing some clothes on as we all did and walked out "which way is it?" I asked "I think it's that way" She said dragging us across the street and down to the crab shack "isn't that church so cute" Maddie said pointing to a little baptist church a block away "it is, but on Sunday I'm going to the cathedral" I said "yes, yes we know miss little Catholic" Beth said eating her clams. we walked around for a little while and then back to the house. another day of relaxation passed and another and another and the next thing I knew it was Sunday and I was putting on a dress and heels and walking down the street to the cathedral. it was beautiful inside with its mosaics and biblical teachings with murals and stained glass. I got there early and found a seat and I was glad I did it was completely full "mind if I sit here?" a guy asked "please" I said and he sat down and the sermon started and it was soon over "I don't mean to barge into your business, but I've been coming here my entire life and I've never seen you here before" he said "and you probably never will again... I'm on vacation and no matter where I am every Sunday I always have to go to a cathedral and since all the rest of my friends are Baptist I came here alone" I said smiling "well, as the priests son and a southern gentleman I feel that it is my duty to walk you back to your house" he said "why thank you" I said "no problem Miss..." "caroline" I said "Miss Caroline" he said as we started to walk down the street we talked as talked walking slowly "this is it" I said opening the gate "good bye Miss Caroline" he said "thank you" I said as he walked away and I went into the house where they were all staring at me "you were the one that said boy free" Maddie said "I'm sorry he asked to walk me home and he was the Priests son and I was not about to look rude" I said and there was a knock on the door "ill get it" I said walking towards "can I help you" I asked opening the door to Aidan "uh yeah, I was told by Garrett to return these to Maddie" he said holding up bikini bottoms and I turned and looked at Maddie who looked absolutely terrified "Hey Maddie, I thought we said this was a boy free vacation" I said with a sweet smile "well you've already broken it why shouldn't I" she said taking the bottoms from Aidan and throwing them in the laundry "yeah but Maddie, what if your dad found out... he's a pastor" I said "oh forget him, my parents are already divorced and it's not like he's ever going to find out who took my virginity" she said grabbing a beer "I think I should go" Aidan said turning to leave "wait a moment" I said grabbing his hand and he turned around and I kissed him on the lips he was completely shocked and confused but finally kissed me back and we made out for a few minutes before I pulled away and shut the front door and he left "we might as well throw out all the rules we had said" I said "so its not boy free?" Beth asked "exactly, but one rule, only hook ups, no last names and no getting close" Elaine said "exactly none of them are boyfriend material, so just hookups" I said "deal" Maddie said "alright" Beth said smiling "so Maddie, did you and that Garrett guy actually.... you know" Beth asked "yeah" she said taking a beer from the fridge "our little Maddie is all grown up!" I said hugging her "guys I lost my virginity when I was 16" she said and we were taken back "really?" we asked surprised "yeah" she said.... I was not expecting that
