"I don't know nagiguilty kaba?!Should you be as supect?"

Para akong nanlamig sa pahayag nya. Unable to speak and lost for words.

Nagpaalam na rin agad ito at nag-interview pa ng ibang tao dito sa lobby. Naabutan ko si Betty na hawak hawak ang log-book. Betty,ofcourse sya lang naman ang alam ko na little birdie na sinasabi ni Olivia. Dahil kagabi sumingit ito sa usapan namin ni Tiana. Nag-iwas ito ng tingin ng makita ako. Agad na lumabas ito sa entrance, sinundan ko sya at tinawag pero hindi ito lumingon.

"Betty! I know you heard me! We need to talk!"

"I am headed to the beach sis,we'll talk later." Lumingon sya nagmamadaling umalis.

"Hey! Huwag mo akong tatalikuran!" Sigaw ko.

Kahit na malayo ay sinundan ko.parin sya. Nagpupuyos ako sa galit. How fucking dare her.

"Betty. Iniiwasan mo ba ako!" Nilingon nya ako at umismid.

"Let me think! Siguro ayaw ko lang makipag-usap sayo."

"Were you spying on me while Detective Bullock was talking to me kanina!" Paratang ko sa kanya pero nanatili lang itong kalmado.

"Now! Bakit ko naman iyon gagawin? You crazy little thing." She hissed.

"Hindi ko alam! Why would you tell her na nagtalo kami ni Tiana kagabi bago ang insidente!"

"I told her what?" Nagtataka pa ito." Hindi ko pa nakakausap si Detective?"

Pretender. Potangina nya.

"Come on! I know you were eavesdropping last night. Nanggaling narin mismo sayo!"

"Being a snoop does not make me a snitch,my dear!"

"Paano ito nalaman ni Detective!" I raised my eyebrow.

"That's your problem not mine. Basta hindi ako nagsabi sa kanya!" She just shrugged her shoulder.

"Why do you even care ba? Do you have some unholy secrets thay you want to protect? Would Summer Powell have a devious dark side?"

A dark side? Baka sya.

"Shut up Betty." Napasapo ako sa noo. She got me there..hindi ako nakasagot sa tanong nya. She's very clever.

"Gladly. Tapos kana bang abalahin ako? See you later sis!"

Kung hindi si Betty ang nagsabi sa police. Who else did and why? Nawala bigla ang mga iniisip ko ng makita na nagsusurf sa gitna ng dagat si Byron. It's getting hotter out here, isn't it? It's definitely heating up.

"Hey there stranger!" Hindi ko namalayan na nakalapit na pala ito sa akin dala ang kanyang surfer board.

Busted!

"Hey." Bati ko

"It's good to see you again,kamusta naman?" Mas lumapit pa sya sa akin.

"I'm alright making through all this drama. What about you?" Nadidistract ako sa katawan nya at may konti pang  tubig na tumutulo mula sa abs nya.

"Well naayos narin ang surfboard ko..at I decided na mag-surf ulit. Nakita mo ba ako?"

Did I see him? Gusto ko sanang sabihin na hindi.

"Yes I saw you. You were really impressive." Nag-iinit ang aking pisngi.

"Thanks, nagsasanay na ako simula maliit pa ako. Pwede kitang turuan,If you want. Unless you already know how to surf."

"I tried once! Halos dalawang oras na session at nahuhulog lang ako sa tubig." Natawa kami pareho.

"You probably don't have the best teacher. I'm.sorry gusto pa sana kita kausap but my break time ends in five minutes." Palihim akong umismid at hindi pinahalata na disappointed ako.

"Oh okay. I don't want you cause any trouble."

"So I'll see you next time we run into each other?" He chuckled.

"It would be my pleasure!"

"The feeling is mutual, stranger. Have a good day!"

Pagkaalis ni Byron naisipan ko narin na bumalik sa hotel para magpahinga. Napatigil ako saglit ng makita si Zach na seryoso habang may kausap sa cellphone.

"Trust me on this no matter how hard they'll try, the value will only decrease and whenever it passes the point of no return,that's when we come into.play."

"Fantastic! Glad to know you're in,I'll send you the details. Bye!" Lumapit pa ako sa kanya.

"Working hard? How is business?"

"Summer Powell, didn't see you there. I was just checking in with work!"

"We both know na hindi bakasyon ang pinunta mo dito! You're here for work, Zacharia Wright." Hindi sya natinag sa sinabi ko. He just remained uptight.

"Well it took you long enough para maalaman kung sino ako!"

"Only because I don't understand kung bakit ka nandito. My father's hotel is not for sale kaya anong habol mo!" Nginisian nya ako ng nang-aasar.

"Not for sale yet, oras nalang ang binibilang."

"Si daddy ang nagtayo ng hotel with my mom. Hindi nya ito ibebenta sa kung sino man." My blood is boiling.

"But he still doesn't know he will sell it to me. The hotel struggles with financial problems and other internal issues." Na-inform na siguro sya dahil sa problemang kinakaharap namin ngayon."Like having an employee getting murdered for example."

"The case was already handled both by the police and by my father." Sinubukan kong maging mahinahon. Sinisira nya ang araw ko.

"Yeah. I have to admit that Mr.Powell handled it pretty well."

"He just recorded a thirty-second -long video, that's not an achievement."

"Ah Summer! You're not so naive are you? You know what your father capable of, I wasn't talking about the video."

Shit. Tangina mo Zach.

"What are you saying!"

"I'm just saying na it"s pretty convenient na nahanap agad ng mga police yung murderer." Napatigil ako sa sinabi nya.

"But hey that's just my opinion. I am.not accusing anyone of anything not even covering up a murder!"

He thinks Tiana's murder was covered up by my father. Kahit hindi nya ito idirekta sa akin ay alam ko na agad ang pinupunto nya.

"Really what makes you say that. Alam kong marami kang nalalaman na impormasyon..at hindi ako naniniwala sa theory mo na cover up lang ito ni daddy."

"What theory? You're interpreting what I said." His tone become sarcastic."People tend to interpret what others will say based on what they firmly believe that means you also think na ang pagkamatay ni Tiana ay cover up lang."

"I'll let you get back whatever you were doing. See you around." May ngisi parin sa labi nya at mas lalong ikinainis ko.
