Chapter 10 ~ Marshmallows

Wally's POV

I don't know why but Artemis makes me feel some kind of way. I've never felt like this with anyone, i'm drawn to her. Her smile is like no other, I shouldn't be thinking these things but I can't help myself. She makes me happy, I can't say the same about Linda. But I just recently met this girl. If feels like i've known her my whole life though.

"Hey Baywatch, come on we're roasting marshmallows!" I looked over and say the blonde smiling at me. I stood up and started walking towards her,

"Come on, slowpoke." She started walking off to the big fire on the beach by the house. Everyone was sitting around it roasting marshmallows, Megan was cuddled up with Connor, Zatanna and Dick laughing, Camron and Kaldur sitting away from the fire. Artemis took a seat on a log and grabbed two sticks. She handed one over to me as I took a seat next to her, she grabbed marshmallows and put them on our sticks. We put them in the fire and waited for them to get the right texture. I looked over at Arty who was concentrated on her marshmallow,

"Uh Wally." I shook my head and look at what she was pointing at. I pulled my marshmallow out and sighed. It was charcoal black,

"I guess i'm not good at this." I pouted. She laughed and stuck her stick at me,

"Have mine." She smiled. That's when it happened. I couldn't help myself, I leaned in and kissed her. She kissed back for a moment but pulled away. No one has ever been this kind to me, she's made me feel amazing for the short time ive known her.

"Wally... You have a girlfriend." She placed a piece of her hair behind her ear. I looked down,

"I know.. I shouldn't have done that." She placed her hand on mine and smiled.

"No one saw you're fine. I think you need to tell Linda though." I sighed.

"I will. When the time is right, I will." she nodded and stood up.

"It's pretty late maybe we should head back?" I nodded and we walked back to the house.

Artemis's POV

What was he thinking?! He can't just do that he has a girlfriend! I waved to him as he walked in his room, I ran and knocked on Zee's door.

"Hey Art what's up- girl are you okay?" I sighed and walked in.

"Wally kisses me.." A huge grin formed on her face while I was distraught.

"And that's bad why?" I rolled my eyes,

"He has a girlfriend, Zee."

"Well that is a problem isn't it." I flopped down on her bed.

"Do you like him?" I looked at her,

"I don't know I just met him!" I put my hands on my face.

"Arty he obviously likes you. You need to talk to him about it." I sighed, she was right. I just don't know if I can be in a relationship after what happened. The best thing for Wally to do is stay away from me, i'm not good for him.
