It was now the next day. Everybody was anxiously awaiting the next battle that would be happening tomorrow. However, nobody was more excited about it than Janus and Virgil. They were still on the winning high known as getting fifth place the week prior.

Currently, the trio was in the cafeteria. Janus and Virgil were cuddling close together, loving the way the rest of the school had begun to treat them. Not like freaks. Remus had never seen either of the boys so happy. But, Remus wasn't really paying attention either.

No...Remus had his head deep in the clouds. Ever since almost kissing Logan the other day, the young student hadn't felt the same. His palms were sweaty, his stomach was tight, his knees were weak, and heart heavy. But, he still had hope. He planned to meet Logan back in the band room this afternoon as soon as they final bell would be set to ring.

Janus and Virgil were starting to take notice of Remus' odd silence. Remus was never quiet. Unless he was in trouble or had a secret. The snake smirked widely, inching his chair closer to the dazed student while Virgil chuckled.

"WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" Janus yelled into Remus' ear, making the poor boy jump. Virgil held his sides tightly as he choked on laughter. Remus socked Janus right in the arm, glaring at him with a smile he was struggling to hold back.

"The fuck, Janus! There are nicer ways to do that, ya know!" Remus cried.

"Yeah, but they aren't as funny," The snake countered. "What are you day dreaming about anyway? You haven't talked throughout lunch and while Virgil and I enjoy the break from you babbling nonsense, it's very...unlike you."

Remus' face couldn't help but turn twelve shades redder as his pervious thoughts flooded his mind again. "C'mon, Re Re. Whatever is bothering you, you can tell us!" Virgil cooed, moving over to sit on Janus' lap.

"No." Remus insisted.

"Please?"

"No."

"Why?"

"Cause I said, no!"

"But it's obviously bothering you!"

"Who said that?"

"So, it isn't bothering you?"

"I didn't say that!"

"But you also said it was bothering you."

"I didn't say that either!"

"So, are you gonna tell us then?"

"No!" Remus chuckled, dropping his head a top the table while he giggled. "I guess this is what it's like dealing with my bullshit all day then, huh?" Both the boys nodded.

"Are you gonna tell us?" Janus asked again. Before Remus could snap, the bell rang. The student rolled his eyes before flipping his friends off, grabbing his backpack, and walking out of the cafeteria.

Once Remus made it to his final class, he, of course, had a hard time focusing. Nothing his teacher was saying was entering his brain. But that didn't bother him at all. He couldn't care less. Not when his little date with Logan was only an hour away.

But Remus' patience would be heavily rewarded. When the bell rung, Remus immediately sprung up from his seat, straping his backpack around his shoulder and dashing out of the classroom.

His heart was pounding harder than he could bare. He almost felt sick, but quickly pushed all those feelings down. Running up the stairs, nearly tripping on each step, he made his way through the crowd of leaving students and got inside the band room.

Of course, setting his backpack down by the keyboard was Logan. He met Remus' eyes, making both of them smile brightly. "I see you made it," Logan hummed.

"I wouldn't miss this for the world." Both of them blushed harshly while setting up their instruments. Logan plugged in his keyboard, testing each key to make sure it worked while Remus plugged in his speaker for the drum.

"Any song requests today?" Logan asked.

"I did have one in mind," Remus shrugged. He began to hit the notes on his drums calmly, watching Logan's eyes widen as he began to sing.

"Tell me something, boy
Aren't you tired tryin' to fill that void?
Or do you need more?
Ain't it hard keeping it so hardcore?
I'm falling
In all the good times I find myself
Longing for a change
And in the bad times I fear myself."

At this point, Logan began to join in, pressing the keys on his keyboard while taking in a deep breath to sing with Remus.

"I'm off the deep end, watch as I dive in
I'll never meet the ground
Crash through the surface, where they can't hurt us
We're far from the shallow now"

The song began to end, both of them had their eyes locked on each other.

"We're far from the shallow now..."

With the final keys hit, Remus set down his drumsticks and stood up. He floated over to Logan, growing hot as he came closer. "You really are a beautiful singer, Remus." The nerd complimented.

"So are you." With their faces close, Remus put his hand behind Logan head and gently brought them together. Their lips touched in a deep and long kiss. Neither of them wanted to break it, but they did for air. "I really enjoy playing with you."

"And I really enjoy you." Remus couldn't help but giggle at Logan's adorable sentiment. "Can we be like this more often?"

"I'd be honored."
