Chapter 10: The Offer

"Nababaliw ka na ba? Ano ba 'yang sinasabi mo. Bakit ko naman ibibigay sa'yo ang panty ko?" I can't even hear my own words when he started laughing in front of me like there's no tomorrow.

"Pfft! Ohh God! Your face is hilarious." He laughed as my face reddened. I looked away and murdered him inside my mind many times. Him and his silly joke.

"How dare you! Pig!" I said gritting my teeth. I never dream of pulling out my panties in public places. Specially here in a restaurant.

"I'm sorry, sweetheart. Trying to lighting up the mood. I like you talking all the time, that's why. " Sabi pa niya at nagpatuloy kumain. I sighed heavily. I will let this pass. Sa susunod hindi na talaga ako sasama sa lalaking 'to. Kung anong mga kalokohan na lang ang iniisip. I don't know what's wrong with this man. Dati hindi naman ganito. I never eat alone with some other guy. Napaka weird lang sa feeling dahil parang dati lang si Stevan ang kasama ko pero habang pinagmamasdan ko si Nikos na masayang kumakain ng kanyang hapunan ay hindi man lang pumasok sa isip ko na may makikilala pa akong ibang tao. And take not: he's a Stanislaski. A Stanislaski! He's a big shot.

After the dinner he insisted to take me home using his car. I didn't bother to decline, dahil hindi ko rin alam kung paano niya nalaman na sa iisang condominium lang kaming nakatira. The difference is he's living in the Annex while I'm staying at Building D.

"How did you know where I live?" Tanong ko sa kanya habang pumasok sa loob ng kanyang kotse.

"Because no one can enter in the Annex easily unless you also live there." Ohh, that explain why. We reached the condominium at exactly ten in the evening.

"Think about what I've said earlier." He said without looking at me. Aalis na sana ako sa kotse niya ng bigla na lang siyang nagsalita. I raised one of my eyebrows.

"What? That I'll take off my panty?" I said sarcastically.

"You may consider that one, sweetheart, but no— I'm talking about you becoming my girlfriend." He said and finally tumingin na rin siya sa akin. His eyes were burning with desire? I'm not good at reading emotions, so I can't tell.

"Hindi ko alam na niyaya mo ang mga babae na maging girlfriend mo pagkatapos kang yayain makipag sex." I said with full of bitterness. I don't want to be hurt again so I need to cage my heart. Good looking guys are dangerous. Just like him! Nikos is so dangerous for me and I'm just the plain, boring, and simple girl who can be ditch easily without second thoughts. Like how Stevan treated me. One is enough. I can't trust him and I can't trust myself near him. He makes me feel something unusual. Something inside me is stirring up.

"To tell you honestly, this is my first time asking a girl to be mine completely. Hell! Every girl will line up for me and willing to be my mistress." He is so full of himself and I am not immune to it.

"So, do you like me?" I ask without second thought. Tumingin ako sakanya at bakas ang gulat sa mukha niya.

"I don't think I can answer that." I see.

"Just like I thought. Choose a girl who is willing to be your girlfriend. And sad to say, I am not willing." I got off from his car at tumakbo agad papasok sa loob. When I reached the door, agad ko itong binuksan. All the lights are turned off, tanging ilaw lang sa phone ko ang nagsisilbing ilaw. Colleen must be sleeping already. I went to my room.

My life is already messed up. Tinapon ko na lang kung saan ang bag ko at tsaka kumuha ng towel. Taking a bath at this hour become a habit. Dumiretso ako sa bathroom at binuksan ang shower. I removed all of my clothes, completely naked. And tumapat sa shower.
