This short story was originally published in 2012 in an Australian sci-fi magazine called Cosmos. Before he passed, my father begged me to follow this story up with more. He always wanted to know what happened after.
Its been on my mind recently to enlist the aid of some fellow sci-fi writers to make a collection of stories around this milieu. That's one of the reasons I've found my way to Wattpad. There's a LOT of raw and refined talent on this platform. Let's create new worlds and populate them with wonderful and horrific things.
