"Ok! We'll stay then!" I agreed happily. "I'll just let Jamie know, otherwise he'll be waiting for us to get home." I pulled out my phone and sent Jamie a quick message. We finished our delicious, home cooked meal and all sat down in the living room to digest our meal. Finley and I offered to help my parents clean the dishes but they told us they would do it. I was on my third glass of fruity rosé wine and sat watching Saturday night tv with my head gently propped up on Finley's shoulder. Mum and Dad were in the kitchen and I could hear pots and pans banging around, and them joking with each other. The dogs were settled by our feet, and the log burner was warming the room. The flames danced erratically casting pretty dancing shadows around the room. I remembered back to the evening after comic con and smiled to myself. That was the first night I had spoken to Finley. I was practically bouncing around this very living room with excitement. Now three months later, he was here with me and he was my boyfriend. I sipped my wine and realised my life was exactly where I wanted it to be. Work was going well, I had all the friends and family I could ever need, and now Finley had fallen into the final place in the puzzle, as the perfect man. He placed his hand in mine, and caressed the back of my hand with his thumb. My stomach did somersaults, and my heart pounded. I still got butterflies around him and I was so happy we could share these small meaningful moments together.

"Do you remember the first night you messaged me Fin?" I asked nostalgicaly.

"Yeah of course I do. I was sat in my hotel room for about an hour deciding whether to send the message or not." He said, his voice laden with amusement.

"You were?" I asked. Finley had never shared this information with me before and I was intrigued to hear more.

"Yeah, I was so scared. When I finally hit the send button I left my phone in the room and went to the gym." I couldn't help but giggle.

"Well I was sat there," I said gesturing to the chair across the room from us, "after spending twelve bloody hours in that corset and I practically screamed when I read your message. Then after I replied I spent the next few hours thinking you were never going to reply!" I said. We both laughed, and he shook his head.

"Of course I was going to. When I got back from the gym and realised you had replied I was so excited. My manager warned not to get too involved, just in case and that there was no way you would be interested for the right reasons, and I got kinda bummed." He said thoughtfully.

"My parents said you wouldn't be interested in me!" I shared. We both laughed again and Mum and Dad came in to join us, joking about something they had been discussing. We spent the rest of the evening watching a movie until bed time. I managed to find Finley a pair of my old comfy comic book pyjama bottoms that fit him and got into my own pyjama's that I left here. I took our underwear and enough dirty washing to make up a full load and put it in the washing machine, so Mum wouldn't have to. We both said goodnight to my parents and crawled into my old bed. It had been another long day and we had both gotten a little tipsy. Finley bundled me up in his arms and held me close. He pressed his lips to my forehead and I wrapped my arm around his body. I kissed his soft lips gently and we both said our good night's. Today had been a success and I was glad my parents were growing to like Finley. Soon after a heavy sleepy feeling engulfed me and before I knew it I had fallen into a deep restful sleep.

It wasn't until the following Friday, that Finley and I finally had the house to ourselves. Jamie had just left for work and I couldn't wait to have some time for just me and Fin. He came back into my bedroom with the drink I had requested and I thanked him. I sipped from it whilst he checked his emails. I put the glass down and leaned my head on his shoulder. We had been interrupted so many times I was now incredibly nervous about taking the next step with him. But I thought it was now or never.
