Kuroo held Kenma in his arms, his body fragile, soft, and weak. Struggling to breathe Kenma looked up at him with a small smile.
"Kuroo, I'm scared.. I'm scared to leave you behind and die.. I'm scared of dying.. It hurts, it's getting... harder to breathe."
Tears formed in the younger male's eyes, realizing he was going to die, realizing he wasn't going to make it. Kuroo had failed to protect his kitten, that hurt him more than anything, seeing him so scared and helpless.
"Kenma, I'm sorry I couldn't save you, I'm so sorry, please don't die yet! We still have games to play, teams to beat, memories to make so please don't go yet!"
Ahead held the other tired and before his breathing completely stopped, Kenma managed to get out,
"I'm sorry... I loved.. you."
The taller male felt his pulse stop and breathing cease, he held the body to his chest and more tears fall,
"Kenma, don't leave please stay by my side a little longer!"
The pudding haired male had a sad smile on his face, watching the other before wrapping his arms around him.
"I know you can't hear, or feel this but I'll always be by your side even if not physically.. I'll always be right here, and I'll always have been your setter.."
