Chapter 58: Where the Clues Hide Reveals Yoongi As The Prize (Pt. 1)

By the time we pulled into the parking lot, we were all three laughing at yet another story Lil was sharing about Yoongi and his silly antics as a child.

"Wait - why are we at the high school? It's closed," I said, puzzled.

Lil said nothing, instead pulling out a small white card with a drawing of a rose on the front and a number 1. She handed it to me as the car stopped in front of the entrance to the wing of the school that housed all the senior lockers.

I opened the card, gasping as I saw Yoongi's familiar scrawl.

Remember where we first met? Go there for me, Babygirl.

I quickly opened the door, leaving it open as I ran to the door. Somehow, it was unlocked. I pulled it open and entered the small hallway that led to the lockers. When I rounded the corner, the hallway was empty and quiet, the lights were on though. I saw another white card taped to Yoongi's locker.

I quickly pulled the card off, noticing it had a number 2 on it. I opened it, seeing Yoongi's handwriting once again.

I thought that day was the worst day of my life, when I spilled coffee on you. I had planned to go unnoticed and finish out my year. The universe had other plans for us though. So do I. I was squealing by the time I tore out of the side door and past Robert. I ran as fast as I could to the rear of the school where the library was.

When I got to the library Judy was there, the girl that worked in the office.

"We have to be quick. If the principal knew we were here -," she began, but I stopped her by throwing my arms around her, giving her a hug.

She laughed and hugged me back, holding the door to the library open as I went inside. "What was that for?"

"Just...for everything. For being there for Yoongi and helping us when those girls lied about him. And for this," I said, entering the small conference room in the middle of the library.

I remembered the day of our first kiss like it was yesterday. We had been arguing the whole time as we sat in this room, trying to hash out the direction of the song. It came to a head with us finally kissing - and it was one of the things that set things in motion for the best thing in my life - Yoongi.

I saw a white envelope on the table - the third clue. I quickly snatched it up, opening it to read the words inside.

I quickly left the library as called out to me to have fun. I waved my arm to her as I ran, heading back to the car. I quickly got in and put the cards on the seat.

"On to the next clue! Back to your house, Robert, and step on it," I hollered excitedly, making both him and Lil laugh.

When we pulled into the driveway of Yoongi's house I started to feel a little apprehensive. What if Yoongi's dad was here or even worse - Dongin.

Lil must have sensed my apprehension as she patted my hand. "Don't worry about any drama happening. They have been taken care of."

"What does that mean...," I started to say, but then seeing the look on her face, I knew she wasn't going to tell me.
