"Run, Elias. RUN!" Franklein exclaimed.
I panted in terror as I ran through the deep forest, not knowing where to go. Someone... No, not someone, but more were following and searching for me. Vampire hunters and citizens are everywhere.
I swiftly hid in the bush, which was enough to cover me. True enough, I can outrun humans, yet some hunters can outrun, catch or kill us, vampires.
I can manage to escape, but there is no way an injured vampire can do it while carrying these two newborn babies. I closed my eyes as Sol began to cry. "Sh*t!" I blurted out when I heard footsteps coming in my direction. My wounds aren't healing at all. Those hunters did something great on their stuff to slow me down and drag me into bad shape.
Right, I opened my eyes, a soft breath left my mouth, and everything I see is in slow motion.
Single ash touched my skin. This serves as a cue for me to charge for sprinting.
The wind howled as I ran through the forest. Half of it had been eaten by the fire caused by those greedy humans.
I stopped when I heard a loud cry and looked back.
"No!!!"
