JUNE 2020 It's the ninth day of June, the rain had stopped pouring and a large bow with multiple lines of colours was slightly visible in the sky. We've had series of downpours this month. I woke up to two snoring hyenas on my bed. One covered in drool while the other almost falling off the bed. I like to believe that I'm the only one that sleeps right among the three of us. Oops pardon my manners. Let's do a quick introduction. Hi, I'm Esther and the two hyenas I referred to are my besties from high school, Uzezi and Ore.

Meet Uzezi. Mummy's girl and spoilt last born. She works with FoxLucent as a HR manager. She's a student of Landmark University and she majors in Industrial Mathematics.

And that's Ore, the evil mastermind and legit Lagos thug. She doesn't look it but trust me you don't want to get on her bad side. She's a student of the University of Abuja where she majors in biochemistry. She has a lot of side hustles so its pretty hard to keep up.
I pushed Ore, making her topple over and hit the floor then I reluctantly dragged myself out of bed to go brush my teeth and make breakfast. I got some white bread from the fridge and readied myself to make six bologna sandwiches. Since we were already out of freshly squeezed orange juice, we'd have to make do with water. Halfway into my sandwich preparation, a half awake Uzezi walks into the living area and throws her weight on the couch. "Whatcha making? I sure hope you're making enough to go around this time." She mumbled "Good morning to you too ma" I hissed. "Yeah yeah, good morning" She replied back as she got on her feet and joined me in the dining room. "Ouch" She winced as she rubbed the back of her hand to sooth the sting from the slap I gave her. "What was that for?" She demanded with a slight frown on her face. I simply ignored the question and said "I didn't make any sandwich for you" Before she could protest, Ore who's looking as confused as ever walks in rubbing her temple. "I had this weird dream where I fell over and I woke up to find myself sleeping on the floor. Real weird" Ore said as she took a bottled water from the fridge. "That's because you either rolled off the bed or Esther pushed you, dumb dumb" Uzezi shot back at her. "You're such a heavy sleeper. You sleep like a log and have no idea of what's happening outside dreamworld" Uzezi added as she rolled her eyes Ore took a long look at her and gulped down some water rather than exchange words with her. Obviously she wasn't in the mood to banter words with Uzezi. The Ore I know always have a good comeback but right now... "Well sha when you're done insulting Ore, go inside the kitchen and make something to eat" I said as I carried my plate filled with sandwiches and a bottled water. "What am I supposed to make?" "I don't know. You could eke out a meal from yesterday's stew maybe" "Ewww. You're stark raving bonkers" I could see the horror in Uzezi's eyes. "That stew is bad" Ore finally said something. "Oh well, its none of my beeswax" I said as I attempted to head up the stairs. "Move!" I yell as Ore cornered me. I felt premium bullying coming up and I was right. They made away with all my sandwiches and all I could say was "Bullies. Hope you choke!!" "Thanks for the breakfast" I heard Ore say. "Feel free to eke out a meal from yesterday's stew" Uzezi said, mocking me.
