"I-I, uh...", I didn't know how to react. Nakangisi lang si Chandler habang namumula ako rito.
"Miss, may mga guests na sa baba."
Saved by Michelle! Tumango ako sa kanya at kinuha na ang aking puting gloves.
Sinulyapan ko si Chandler na naka-all white suit at orange dress shirt sa loob.
"W-who dressed you up?", tanong ko para mawala ang ilang.
"Si bunso. Idol ka kasi nun kaya nag-aaral din tungkol sa fashion-fasion na 'yan."
"That's good. I have books related to fashion. I can lend her some."
Bumaba na kami pagkatapos. He even offered his arm while we were going down the stairs. We looked like a couple!
The garden was filled with people already. A big white canopy acted as our shade from the hot weather. The venue looked like a British garden, just how I liked it. Guests were in their colorful dresses and suits. The white tables and chairs looked so clean. Food is served in 3-tiered food stands. The table setting is beautiful, too!
Chandler was walking with me while I surveyed the place. The caterers were on standby. The mini stage in front is equipped with the band instruments already.
"Ganda nito, Pors. Vintage," kumento niya.
"Wow, you know Vintage, huh."
"Na-search ko lang. Hehe."
I socialized with the guests. My heart is happy. Russo pulled it off expertly!
The party was laid-back. The guests sang and danced to old songs.
"Pors, nandito na sina Nanay."
I excused myself and went with Chandler. Malaki ang ngiti ko nang sinalubong ang kanyang pamilya. They all look so good!
"Hi, thank you so much for coming and I'm sorry po for the short notice."
Tita Grace smiled and kissed my cheek. Bumati rin si Tito Joseff, Caroline, Yoyong at Dodi.
"Happy birthday, Iha. Walang problema!"
"Portia, akala ko si Sarah ka!", ani Dodi.
My brows furrowed. "Why?"
"Mukha ka kasing munting prinsesa!"
I chuckled and Yoyong elbowed him.
"Boom, na-fall!", patuloy ni Dodi.
"Ikaw ang ifa-fall ko sa ilog kapag hindi ka tumahimik," pagbabanta ni Chandler.
Pinaupo ko na sila. Chandler assisted his family.
Hindi nagtagal, halos kumpleto na ang lahat. Anicia and Jeorella came with luxurious gifts!
"Sa Milan ko pa talaga 'to binili. Naubusan na kasi sa London," kwento ni Jeorella sa bigay niyang bag from Gucci.
"I bought mine in Tokyo. Its a Vintage Chanel bag. And I knew you love that store!", si Anicia.
I chatted with the girls until I saw Andres.
"Hi, Andres!"
"Ola, Portia! Happy birthday!", he leaned and kissed my cheek. He handed me a small paperbag from Balenciaga.
"Wow! Thank you, Andres. You didn't have to."
"But I want to!", he chuckled.
Nagulat nalang ako na nasa tabi ko na si Chandler. Nilingon ko siya pero seryoso ang kanyang titig kay Andres. Tumawa naman ang huli.
