"This is absurd, Professor De Guzman! We don't want you to resign... We just need to clear this issue and undergo due process. We believe in you," ani Principal Reyes. Hindi ko alam kung bakit parang bumait siya bigla.

"What will happen to Ms. Chen?" Mac asked. Bakit siya ganyan? Hindi niya iniisip ang sarili niya, laging ako muna.

"She will undergo school trial, same as you," anang Principal.

Mabilis na umiling si Mac. "I'll resign," aniya at tila hindi na mababago pa ang isip. "Ms. Chen, please go back to your class. I'd like talk with the Principal alone."

Kahit mukhang may pag-aalinlangan kay Principal Reyes ay tumango rin siya kaya naman lumabas na ako.

Anong sasabihin ni Mac? And what is he even doing? We can just deny it!

Habang naglalakad sa hallway ay nakasalubong ko si Art. "Gwy, kanina pa kita hinahanap," aniya at mukhang hingal na hingal.

Kumunot ang noo ko. "Bakit? Pinatawag kasi ako ng Principal..." saad ko. "May nagbigay ng picture namin ni Mac na magkayakap sa CR kahapon. We might undergo school trial."

"When I got Emi's text earlier, I immediately asked a friend of mine for the CCTV footage of last night..." aniya at hinahabol pa rin ang hininga. "And Emi's right, someone locked you inside."

Nanlaki ang mga mata ko sa sinabi ni Art. "S-Sino?"

Kinuha niya ang cellphone niya at ipinakita sa akin iyong video clip. Napahawak ako sa aking bibig. "Oh my God, it's Nova..."

It's disappointing, but I'm not really surprised that it was her. She's the only one who hates me here. What's surprising is that she would really go this far...

She locked me inside the comfort room and she waited for an opportunity. When Mac went inside, she then started to take some pictures. Hindi na ako magtataka kung siya rin ang nagpakita mismo ng mga iyon sa Principal. I can't believe her!

"You can show this to the Principal... Your trial will be junked because of this, Gwy. You can say that Prof. De Guzman saved you and you were just so overwhelmed that's why you hugged him," Arthur suggested.

I suddenly feel water inside my eyes. What did I do to be surrounded with friends like him? I am beyond lucky. "Thank you talaga, Art. Sobrang thank you..."

Tumakbo na ako pabalik sa Principal's Office at bago pa ako makapasok ay lumabas na si Mac.

Hinila ko siya roon sa kabilang hallway na tago.

"Mac, we've found a solution. Arthur got the CCTV footage of last night... Nova Enriquez locked me inside the comfort room," sabi ko. "I will show this to the Principal and I will tell her that I was just really thankful that you came and helped me kaya nayakap kita. Sasabihin ko na kahit naman sino ang dumating at tulungan ako, yayakapin ko rin ng ganoon..."

Biglang kumunot ang noo niya. "Kahit sino yayakapin mo?" tanong ni Mac. Sa dami ng sinabi ko, iyon lang ang na-pick up niya?!

"You don't have to resign," I told him.

"I already did, Li." He took a deep breath. "I'm only here because of you... There's no reason for me to stay if it would mean that we can't be together."

My heart is beating extremely fast right now. "A-Are you sure?" tanong ko pa.

Agad siyang tumango. "And that trial will be very tricky... They will probably ask us a lot of things. And if they'll ask me if I have a romantic feelings for you, hell, I won't deny it, Lia. I can't."
