Katelyn's POV

"Nasa bahay ka ba? Bakit parang nag-iba design ng kwarto mo?"

apatingin ako sa screen ng laptop, diretso siyang nakatingin sa'kin. Narito ako sa aking kama habang kinukuha ang gamot na nasa bedside table.

She never knows that I have a condo. It's our secrets!

Agad akong lumapit sa study table ko at naupo rito.

"Actually, I'm here in Ella's lodge Ate. I went here to have a sleepover with her." palusot ko.

"Where is she? Can I talk to her?" tanong n'ya habang ngumunguya ng strawberries.

"May binili lang s'ya sa baba. Kakaalis lang niya at hindi na ako sinama." sabi ko na nakangiti sa kanya.

Nakita ko naman ang pagtango niya. Hay! Salamat!

"About your fiancee.." biglang sabi niya na ikinagulat ko.

How did she know about it?

"Don't ask. I know every detail even I'm not there with you." aniya.

"I want to meet him when I go home. Is that clear? You already said yes to him na without really hesitating to ask me if I'll agree with it. I know you've been together for a couple of years
but I never meet him even once." sabi pa n'ya.

Paano n'ya makikita eh hindi pa siya umuuwi dito. Tsk!

"Ate, he's kind and responsible person plus he loves me more than himself, our parents really want him for me. He wanted to see you, honestly." explain ko.

Nakita ko ang pagtaas ng kilay n'ya. "Kung ganon, bakit hindi n'ya muna ako hinintay bago magpropose sa'yo ha, Kate?" sabi n'ya kaya napatahimik ako.

"I call you again later, may aayusin lang akong presentation for tomorrow. Take care and love lots!" aniya sabay end ng video call.

Tsk! Hindi man lang ako pinagsalita!

Napabuntong hininga muna ako bago kunin ang phone ko. I need to talk to Ella, my best friend.

Agad kong dinial ang number n'ya at agad naman n'yang sinagot

"Do you need anything?" bungad n'yang sabi. Napangiti ako, she's really my best friend.

"Can you come in my condo now? Sleep with me, I already miss you na!" sabi ko na may ngiti sa labi.

"Psh. Don't me, Kate. We already met yesterday, just tell it. Why?"

Napabuntong hininga ako. She really knows when I'm saying true or lie statements, wala akong lusot!

"Okay fine, Ate and I talked a while ago through video call and she notice the design of my room. You know naman diba? She doesn't know that Mom gets condo for me because she will
not agree about this." explain ko sa kanya.

"So? Ano na namang white lies ang sinabi mo ha?" sabi n'ya na sa boses pa lang na-iintriga na.

"I told her that it's yours. She agree at hindi na nagtanong pa. She knows you naman, diba?" sabi ko habang naglalakad papuntang kitchen.

"Okay. Give me 30 minutes, order ka foodies ah! See yah!"
ngiting aniya.

"Sige, I'll order na. Ingats!" sabi ko at agad hinanged up ang call.
