BACKGROUND: Analiese Remington was born to Nina and Johnathon Remington, along with her twin brother Julian, on December 11th, 1980 in Saratov, Russia. She lived there until she was 12 years old, when her and her brother moved to England to attend Oxford University. She and Julian graduated college at age 16 with PHD's (his for Biology and hers for Genetics and Genetic Engineering). They were both recruited into HYDRA under Emma Becker, a renowned scientist. Analiese served as her assistant until 1999 when Analiese gave herself the serum they had been working on without Becker's permission. The serum gave Analiese shapeshifting powers, causing her to resign her position and go into self imposed exile. Her brother assisted her until he was murdered a few years later, leaving Analiese to be tormented with her uncontrolled abilities alone. This is where we first meet her in the third book.
