Finding my way back home...

Chapter 4

Lying on my bed trying to figure out what to eat I got up and just ate cereal matched it with coffee and showered .... drove to work and got there to get a few things done

A knock on my door startled me and I looked up to see him .... smiling and asking if I'm not having lunch today,... so I closed my laptop and followed him to the cafeteria to have our lunch this time I had  Spinach Pesto Pasta with Shrimp which tasted amazing...

We ate and silence and he would just smile if he caught me checking him out .... and only realized now how weird I get around him I burped and it was so embarrassing

"you really love making me laugh" I smiled embarrassed and when I was done eating I smiled at him BIG MISTAKE I had spinach stuck on my teeth, but why do things like this happen to me WHY? God am I not a good girl?.... he pointed at my teeth I took out my small mirror and Yeap I'm a clown then he got up kissed my cheek and began walking away   .....he looked back at me and laughed so hard he nearly fell
"karma is a bitch" I said he turned and frowned I said
"sorry" then he smiled and left

What are we 16 I couldn't stop laughing he's funny I think I'm falling for Mike he's hot and has no ring on his  finger so I feel like I just won the lottery now ...nothing could ruin my mood NOTHING I think I spoke too soon because just as I said that my pregnant patient puked on me and I just couldn't be hard on her I mean she didn't mean to... headed to the shower and getting the puke from my hair was a nightmare what the hell did she eat "yuck"

I got off the shower and got dressed in new scrubs ... bumped into Mike and we headed upstairs to the rooftop to talk
"I think I like you and I wanna see where this goes" I was shocked from nowhere he just said that I kept quiet and saw how uncomfortable he got, you can't blame me I didn't expect this

" I've been dying to tell you, so I'm sorry for just blurting it out like that"

Still, I froze for a moment I don't know what came over me cause I pulled him by his jacket and kissed him so hard the roof was spinning...

He complimented me on the smell of my hair and I smiled, we spoke for more than 2 hours and it was just meant to be because this miracle of my pager not going crazy for 2 hours wow must be our lucky day.

He's a pediatrician and just moved here not too long ago and I promised to show him around since I think I know the most entertaining parts here thanks to Zoe. We spoke a bit more before getting back to work, I was smiling non stop that people always turned to me to wave or smile back.

" that stupid grin on your face" a voice from nowhere came ruining my good mood

" Why are you smiling like that you're freaking me out," Zoe said
" For me to know and for you to never find out" I winked at her and she said

" must be mike"
I kept quiet and pretended to be busy

"You can pretend to work I'm not going anywhere" I laughed
" yes we kissed we made out it was hot and I loved it"

"Hmmmmm"

"What," I said I was sort of annoyed of her reaction

"What do you mean what "sometimes she can be a bitch I swear...

She smiled and said
"People in love make me sick" she laughed and walked out.....

" don't be jelly you have a man" she smiled and left

I thought to myself she's shocked but isn't she acting just a bit weird I mean she's been stressing Me to put myself out there and now I'm finally in a relationship sort of she's not pleased for me, I guess she's very overprotective of me because I've been through a lot.

I continued to work and he volunteered to take me home, sent Zoe a message that I'm going home and she sent kisses ...
