Chapter 5

It started out with 500 participants, but now there are only about 150 participants left. More than half of the participants have given up during the test due to fear of losing their life.

"This round of the test was to test your determination as well as your carefulness. You all did great for this round. Congratulations, you guys have all passed the test for this round." Ting announced the result.

The participants couldn't help but beamed. To be honest, the illusion test was very hard as they had no idea what they might encounter and trigger along the way, but they did it.

"After this round, the final round should be much easier. For the final test, we would be testing you guys on your inner power as well as your life stone."

"What if you have no cultivation power as of now?" One of the participants with no spiritual energy asked. He's just a commoner yet passes the test with Shen Yu's guidance. He was worried that he might be unqualified for the final round.

"Then you'll have to depend on your life stone. Those with no spiritual energy have less chance to enter the sect unless their life stone shines brightly to the max level indicating that the person is pure only then would they be allowed to enter the sect."

Seeing that no one had any more questions, Ting dismissed the group.

Everyone then scatters to go find a nearby inn to rest for the night since the next round would happen the next day at a new location.

Once the group was gone, Ting couldn't help but let out a sigh of relief. It was too tiring having to test those newcomers. Originally, he wasn't the one that was assigned to test the participants by the elders, but rather it was his senior brother. However, his senior brother just told the elders to pass him this task with the excuse of letting him have the experience. Despite that his senior brother has never tested those newcomers before with the excuse of letting others have the experience.

Because his senior brother was his role model, Ting could only agree with it. It's not like he didn't want to do the task, but rather he wasn't really qualified to test the participants as for now since his cultivation level still isn't high enough.

The participants within Shen Yu's group earlier continue to follow him again. Yue Ya was also among them. Shen Yu didn't say anything and just let them do what they wanted.

Once Shen Yu got into the room, he took off his hat veil and started to meditate.

The next day, Shen Yu got up early and went to the meeting place for the final round. Getting out of the room, he saw the other participants outside of his room that seemed to be waiting for him.

Seeing Shen Yu, those people who were in his group earlier couldn't help but called out to him excitedly.

Shen Yu is a friendly person, thus he also responded back. Since the other people no longer fear nor judge him for his appearance, but rather they were friendly toward him, of course he's also treating them the same.

Thus, the group walked out together from the inn heading to the meeting area for the final round.

Once everyone arrived, they saw Ting along with the other Sky Sect disciples with an additional person. They have not seen that person before during their previous test. The person is a beautiful girl who seems to be around 18. She had a red robe that was different from the Sky sect disciple's robe which is purely white.

No one recognized who she was, thus they couldn't stop gossiping.

Despite not knowing who she was, Shen Yu could tell that she was from the Fire sect based on her robe. When he was still at his home back in the Wind sect, his master who is also his uncle made him and his brother along with their fellow sister and brother apprentice learn about the different sects thus he could recognize it.
