AUTHOR POV

It had been a week since JungYun's suspension was lifted and he was now able to attend his classes. Even during his suspension, he had found a way to be present on campus, much to the curiosity of his friends, they were concerned about the girl who had caught JungYun's eye, but they still didn't know the true purpose behind his interest. Regardless, they decided to keep a close eye on him, just in case he was up to something troublesome or playing some kind of game with the girl.

As the boys walked through the bustling hallways, the usual chaos of students chatting, shouting, and gossiping filled the air. Some unfortunate nerds were even being bullied by their peers. However, all the noise and commotion came to a halt when they entered the main hallway.

All eyes were on the boys, who exuded a confident senior swag. Their defining charms and well-built physiques made the girls swoon, but the boys remained unfazed by the attention. They walked with purpose, their focus clear and unwavering.

Everything was usual until all the students present in the hallway saw a girl run across with teary eyes. She didn't watch anyone on her way but mindlessly turned lanes.

As the girl ran through the hallway, tears streaming down her face, she collided with one of the tall figures. Looking up at him with pleading eyes, she stuttered, "Pl-please, save me, sir." The guy's heart filled with concern as he recognized who the girl was.

"What happened? Why are you crying?" he asked, his voice filled with worry and compassion. The girl remained silent, her gaze shifting to the approaching footsteps. A group of boys appeared, their presence causing her to tremble.

Hoseok, the figure the girl had bumped into, instinctively pushed her behind him and stepped forward to protect her. He understood that these boys were the reason for her distress.

"Give the girl to us, Hoseok," one of the boys demanded as he advanced towards them. Hoseok scoffed, his voice firm. "Why should I do that? It's clear she wants to escape from all of you."

The boys sneered, undeterred by Hoseok's words, and continued to approach, still intent on getting to the girl.

Hoseok noticed the girl stepping back as the bad guy approached, prompting him to swiftly step forward and push the guy away with his chest. "Come on, man! We're not doing anything wrong. In fact, she's Jay's sister," Nathan observed the girl's widening eyes and silently mouthing a 'No.' He could sense that the guys had malicious intentions towards her.

"Even if she's your sister, we can't hand her over to you. So, it's better if you clear out of here," Nathan's voice carried a stern warning in his eyes.

"As if you're the bo--" The guy's words were cut off by a forceful punch. The punch was lively and acted close to Nathan's face just as the other guy was about to make contact with the girl's hand. Hoseok's eyes widened in shock at the scene unfolding before him.

"Can't you listen, you fucker?" JungYun's voice rang out with a horrid tone, sending chills through the students in the hallway. The girl tightly clutched the back of Hoseok's shirt, witnessing the aggression before her.

Before JungYun could launch another attack, Nathan swiftly caught hold of him and pulled him back. Yun-Jun and Jin stepped forward, joining forces to remove the guys from the hallway, knowing they couldn't let them linger in front of JungYun any longer.

"JungYun, stop this nonsense. We don't want you to get expelled."

With the situation resolved, the students in the hallway started making their way to their classes. Yun-Jun and Jin returned to join the boys, while Hoseok offered comfort to the shaken girl.

JungYun noticed the girl still trembling from the incident and approached Hoseok, standing beside her. "What are you doing here?" he asked, his voice rigid and his brows furrowed, questioning the girl's presence in the senior block. It was common knowledge that freshmen had no reason to be there.

"Are you going to answer or just stand still?" his strict tone sent shivers down her spine. Suppressing her timidity, she mustered the courage to respond.

"I came here in search of the OS Lab to meet Mr. Hans. When I asked for help, those boys led me to an empty classroom and... and misbehaved with me," she stammered, her eyes welling up with tears as she recalled the traumatic incidents.

JungYun remained silent, but he called for Tae-Sun. "Show her the way to Mr. Hans," he instructed, gesturing for the girl to follow him. "You can trust him, he will show you the way." The girl looked at Tae-Sun, who was already offering her a reassuring smile. She thanked the boys who helped her and followed Tae-Sun without exchanging any words.

As the girl was about to pass by JungYun, he reached out and gently held her hand, stopping her from taking another step. Their eyes locked and JungYun couldn't help but feel captivated by her fish-shaped optics and the impact of her brown pools dilating at him.

"Say your name," he demanded, his voice soft but commanding. Aun looked at him, curious as to why he was asking, but instead of questioning him, she simply answered, "Aun Grey," her voice low and timid.

JungYun released his hold on her hand, allowing her to continue following Tae-Sun. He kept his gaze fixed on her until she disappeared down the hallway. "It seems like she's in our department," Hoseok remarked as he stepped forward, catching the attention of the others.

"How can you be so sure she belongs to our department?" Jin questioned Hoseok, causing the group to turn their attention to him.

"Didn't you hear her mention the OS lab and Mr. Hans? That means she's a Computer Science Engineering student. Have you forgotten that Mr. Hans is the HOD of the Computer Science Department?"

Hoseok's reasoning seemed to confirm her department, but instead of feeling pleased, the others' faces fell when they saw the smug expression on JungYun's face. He was there, his face brightened with a haughty smirk.
