I fell.
The earth knows my story, as do the angels.
And He.
My only wish was to serve Him and yet when the test was placed, I turned away and let my sins wash over my senses, cloaking my humility and gracing my pride.
I was cast out.
It has been long enough that time has lost its value to me, another day could pass me by, and I would think nothing of it. I reside in my own version solitude, a punishment not by Him, but one I put myself through.
He was saddened.
I was crumbling.
I seek redemption.
But for now, I hear.
I hear her words. Sweet, melodic sounds of grief and yearning that stir my ancient soul so softly, it would be caressed if those words could touch. They spin in my mind like clouds.
I wait for them with patience, because besides this, I have nothing.
Until I find her.
