Chapter 23: Hello Steven

Rachel's POV
"After this I was thinking we could all go bowling tonight?" I asked Lexi as we walked to the cafe where we were supposed to meet steven "Yeah that's fine" she said as we went and got a seat in the cafe. I got a coffee and Lexi got a coke and we waited a few minutes for Steven to arrive. "Hello" Steven said as he walked towards the table "Hi" Lexi said putting her drink down "I'm sorry I haven't contacted you lately I've just been really busy with work and the twins have found it hard settling into their new school, anyway how are you?" Steven asked "I'm good, the holidays are coming up and I was wondering if I could come stay with you?" Lexi asked , I felt awkward because me and Steven don't get on and we Never talked after the divorce "I mean I don't see why you couldn't? It's up to your mum though" he said bringing me into the conversation "Yeah that's fine but Lexi I think you need to tell your Dad about something" I said hinting about what had been going on the past few days, Steven needed to know what happened he is her father and he got her the job at the diner "Tell me what?" Steven said as Lexi froze up "Lexi if you don't tell him I will" I said as she looked to her feet "Whats happened now? your not pregnant are you?" Steven asked "No shes not, Lexi come on tell him please" I said as she looked up " I quit working at the diner and I erm..well, listen don't get mad please..i worked at the stripclub" Lexi said quietly steven laughed " Nice joke, now come on whats really happened?" Steven said "Its the truth steven, but there's more so lexi tell him" I said as she huffed "I was sleeping with guys for money, I'm sorry I really am I just wanted to get enough money to get a place in London so I could see you more" Lexi said desperatly "I never thought I would say this about any of my kids but Lexi your are disgrace to the smith family name , I thought better of you" Steven said sternly as Lexi started to cry "I'm sorry dad please" she begged crying "No, this was a mistake, your no daughter of mine" Steven said before standing up and walking away " Dad no please!" Lexi said running outside after him whilst I followed "Lexi come on let's just go home" I said, as hard as it was hearing this it was what Lexi needed her dad was a waste of space and she doesn't need him "Do as your mother says for once Lexi!" Steven shouted before slamming his car door shut and driving off leaving Lexi crying in the car park. "Let's go home" I said giving her a hug.

When we got back home Lexi went upstairs to her bedroom "Whats up with her?"Eddie asked sitting on the reclined sofa " Well I told steven about what happened and he didn't take it to well, wheres Luke and Saffy?"I asked putting my bag down "Oh, Luke is in his room and saffys at work" Eddie said as I sat down on the sofa " I thought she didn't work on Saturdays?" I asked "She's having to cover for another girl or something, I wasn't really listening" Eddie said as I logged my laptop on " Did you get the email from Max last night about changing the curriculum" I said scrolling through my emails " No whats it about?" Eddie asked " He is trying to turn the school like John fosters, he doesn't understand that the students are from different backgrounds and wont comply with his ridiculous rules" I said getting angry, that man has been trying to take my job over since he started "Just ignore him, he cant do anything without the govenors permission" Eddie said as he got the newspaper "True, Are you still up for bowling tonight?" I asked " why not? something to do isn't it" Eddie said looking at the newspaper.

Lexi's POV

I hated my dad, how could he say that I understand I did something bad but he took it too far. I lay in my bed for an hour when I got a text from Bolton ' hey, were all meeting up at 2 if you wanna come? x' I thought about it and replied ' Sure, what are we doing? x' I sent back sitting up ' just hanging, Might be going to Laceys afterwards x' He sent back after five minutes 'yeah i'll come x' I quickly sent back as I went to get ready since it was already one oclock ' I'll come by yours and walk with ya x' he text me as I started doing my makeup ' Alright, Im at my mams again x' I sent to him as I continued doing my makeup. Once I done my makeup and curled my hair which took half an hour, I looked at my phone and saw I only had 15 minutes till he was coming round so I quickly put on a Pink v neck crop top and my black ripped jeans with my White converse then I heard the doorbell ring, it was Bolton. I quickly put on my jewlrey then grabbed my bag and my white leather jacket and headed downstairs "What time will you be back?" Eddie asked as Bolton stood in the doorway " Erm 9 or 10ish " I said "So your gonna miss bowling, its fine off you go. Ill tell your mum you've gone out with some friends" Eddie said "Thanks, cya" I said before shutting the door and walking down the drive with Bolton " You look good" He said " Cheers, you don't look so bad yourself" I laughed as we walked to the park.
