Chapter Nine: Counselling

Lexi's POV
After my mam found out i was with Max in his office i headed to my lesson but on the way i saw Miss Campbell who stopped me " I was actually coming to get you , you have another session today" she said smiling "Oh erm okay" i said as i followed her to the Pastoral office. " So, how has everything been recently? I noticed you've been quite close with Mr Tyler" She said as we sat down on the sofa's " Its been fine , yeah i was staying with my friend and he is her cousin " I said as i put my bag down " Oh thats nice, so Your mum said you found your dad leaving quite hard" she said as she noticed i was lying " Well, i mean it is hard considering he is ignoring all my calls and didn't even say bye to me , aside from all that yeah im fine" I said holding back the tears, I had tried to contact my Dad and Emma but they were ignoring my calls and i think they have blocked me on Facebook as well. Miss campbell talked to me about how he may be busy and stuff for a good ten minutes but then asked the most stupidest question " I was looking at your file and noticed you had an issue with Drugs and Alcohol and ive found some great help groups for you which could be helpful for you" Kim said smiling as she passed me some leaflets which i chucked on the table " Who told you? And why is that in my file?" I asked angrily with my fists balled, the only people who knew about my problems was my mam and dad along with saffy and Luke " Your mum thought that it was good if I mentioned it because she thinks that with the current situation you might relapse , which is fine but we want to help you try and avoid that" Kim said still smiling " Just because i had a rough time doesn't mean I'm gonna become a fucking druggie!" I shouted before grabbing my bag and walking out of her office. This was down to my mam, i told her to keep that part of my life private because of nosey people like Miss campbell!

I slammed open her office door and saw her talking with Eddie " How dare you! That part of my life was supposed to be kept private not shared with all my teachers!" I screamed " Hey sit down and calm yourself!" Eddie shouted at me as he gestured for me to sit down " Lexi it's not like that , i was honestly trying to help you" she said as the bell for break went " Lexi we are here to help you not judge you" Eddie said as is stood infront of my mams desk " Great who else knows mam! You want everybody to know then fine look ill show everybody!" I screamed at her before walking out of her office and heading to the canteen pushing past everybody " Your there, ive- hey whats wrong?" Lacey asked as she caught up with me and noticed i was angry " Well my mam wants everybody to know how much of a druggie i am so im helping her out" i said angrily as Max stood at the end of the canteen " Lexi come on dont do this to yourself" Lacey said as she grabbed my hand trying to stop me " No, Everybody listen up! Since my so called mother wants everybody to know my private life then here let me tell you! I was an alcholic and addicted to drugs a few months ago, you happy now mam?!" I shouted as everybody in the canteen went silent " Lexi come on lets get you out of here " Max said as he came up behind me as i started crying " Carry on with what your doing everybody!" Eddie shouted as Max took me outside where both eddie and rachel followed along with Lacey " Just leave me alone" i said to max as i tried to leave " I think we should take this to my office" My mam said " Im not going anywhere with you! I honestly thought you had changed , clearly you havent" I said as i walked off with Lacey to the common room leaving Max , eddie and my mam.

When we got to the common room i just broke down crying, " hey listen, everything will be fine, besides everybody has a past" Lacey said as she pulled me in for a hug " Yeah i know but i like to keep my past private but she just doesn't understand that" i said while drying my eyes " I know, but you know your not like that anymore so don't let it bother you, i mean if i got upset over somebody finding out my past i would be lowkey depressed all the time but i don't let it bother me, all you need to think is how strong you were to overcome them" Lacey said smiling " Yeah , its just the fact everybody seems to think i need fixing, im just a problem that needs fixed" i said " Hey, your not a problem to me and not to max either" Lacey said as i rested my head on her shoulder " yeah i know, its just i genuinely thought my mam had changed, shes constantly trying to get me to go to counselling when i don't need it" i said as max came into the common room "There you are, everybody's looking for you" max said as he came and sat down infront of me and Lacey " i honestly can't be arsed today, Everytime I decided to stop a full day of school I was end up in tears" i said as Max out his hand on my knee " you can say that again" Lacey laughed " How about i get you some work for this afternoon and take you two back to mine?" Max asked " Im going to sound like a bad mate but i best get going to my next lesson its my first day and it would look bad if i left early " lacey laughed as she got her bag and stood up " Thats fine" Max said as i smiled as Lacey left " Yeah that sounds good, i can walk back though " i said as i stood up " No its fine , besides i think we are due some alone time" Max smirked before leaning in and giving me a kiss. After we went and got the work and headed back to max's house.

They thought there was nobody in the common room but weren't aware that danielle and aleesha were behind the bookcase and heard and saw everything...
