He watched her sleep.

For a few minutes anyways, then he eased himself out from under her and slowly got out of the massive bed. They had started out on the sofa, but at some point had made their way to the bed. There, he'd made love to her again. Slow, tender, he memorized every detail of her body from the way her skin felt under his fingers to the way her back arched when he made her have an orgasm.

Ian could feel himself harden at the mere thought of taking her again, but he knew he needed to get going. It was just past sun up, Fate would be calling. Gathering his clothes, he quietly put his pants back on and snuck out the door. He turned in the doorway, watching her for a few minutes more before sighing and closing the door behind him.

Holding the clothes he hadn't put on, Ian made his way down the long hallway; turning a few times until he finally reached a tall black door. The work on the frame told his story, one of life to death and becoming what he eventually was. It wasn't one he'd ever told anyone, not even Hades himself knew of how he became death.

Opening the large door, he stepped inside as the candles grew to large flames, brighting the room. He saw a figure on his bed and knew immediately who it was. Ignoring the person, Ian walked over to his private bathroom and begin to ready the shower. He felt that he was going to need the strength the hot water provided for the conversation that was coming his way.

"You-"

"I do not need anything but a shower. So be quiet until I've returned," Ian said as he gathered another set of clothes and walked into the bathroom, closing the door behind him.

Thirty minutes later, Ian walked out with a fresh set of clothes on him and a towel on his head. He rubbed the towel over his hair, tuffs of it sticking up in little poofs. Glancing over to the person still sitting on his bed, he frowned. He was hoping they'd take the hint and leave, but it seemed luck was not on his side. "What is it that you want, Hypnos?"

"Oh I can speak finally? Well that's good," Hypnos said as he sat up straighter on the massive bed. The mattress swallowed him, making him fall backwards into its soft clutches. He frowned as he tried to sit up straight again.

Ian spared him a glance, eyes narrowed and one eyebrow raised as was his trademark. "Don't get smart, brother," Ian warned. "What is it that you want? I have places to be at the moment."

"Ah yes... The never ending job of Death," Hypnos retorted. He swung his legs over, hanging onto the side of the bed and hauled himself up. Standing, he gave the bed a dirty look. "I hate this thing..." Hypnos turned back around, facing his brother. "You do realize that when you neglect to do your job, that it makes my job so much harder, right?"

"So I've heard," Ian remarked. He picked up the piles of papers on the desk that sat in the back of the room, shifting through them. "And yes, I realize this however you do realize that I've been teaching a goddess how to use her powers that have laid dormant for eighteen years, correct?" He turned his gaze from the paperwork to his brother.

"Is having sex with them a way of teaching then?" Hypnos replied one eyebrow raised. His light color eyes stared into Ian's dark ones.

Ian dropped the papers he held, not caring how they fell to the desk in a lazy heap. "How did y-... You asshole! You were watching the whole time!?" He stormed over to where his brother stood, bringing his fist up and landed a hard blow to Hypnos's left cheek.

Hypnos's head flew to the right, sound of cracking echoing throughout the room. When he turned his heated gaze back towards Ian, there was a red mark on his left cheek. "Feel better, brother?" he asked with a smug grin on his face. "In answer to your question, No. No, I had not been watching the entire time. Only when Makaria begin to grow sleepy did I enter the room." He frowned when he realized something Ian hadn't said. "Entire time? How many times did you do it, brother?"
