Here are more detailed notes on my default headcanons for them:
- itachi is a closeted trans woman n the only ppl who know are kisame, and eventually when she wants to start presenting like a woman and transitioning, konan and kakuzu. konan takes her out 2 get clothes n things and kakuzu doesn't really talk 2 her abt her transness unless she wants to talk abt it, he only knows bc he has to budget for her meds and help her take them.
- konan is a trans woman and nagato is a *gestures vaguely* kind of moving between demiboy (demiman???? he's 35????) and agender. konan is physically transitioning, nagato is not.
- kisame is a trans man who has the most intense dysphoria of the whole akatsuki so he loves the big flowy coat and suddenly having a means of physically transitioning that comes w/ being in the organization.
- deidara is a man sometimes and nonbinary sometimes, and uses those labels, not genderfluid or demiboy. they/them or he/him is preferred thank u. he gets top surgery but is wishy-washy abt taking hrt: he tried it, didn't like it all that much, tried again after a few years and didn't like it again.
- sasori is nonbinary. fight me on this. i don't know what else to say really this person can take out their consciousness and implant it into any kind of body they are capable of making if that's not trans coding idk what is
-hidan and kkz aren't here but im gnna put them in here anyway: hidan is a masc nonbinary person and kakuzu is a trans man. neither of them are interested in transitioning at all tho if u hc hidan as dfab i really like the 'top surgery from jashin' thing.
