A/N: I know this took a lot of time but I kind of had lost interest in writing for a few days probably due to the fact that i literally disappeared on here and no one seemed to care. It hurts to realize you're not that important... (DONT KILL ME FOR THAT). I am a bit better now so yay very long chapter ! I was asked if I could make Caminah a thing in this. I was extremely ill at ease during the car ride, torn between the urge to kiss Lauren right there and right then and the thought that I should have said no. This was going to be extremely hard for me and although I could feel Camila's reassuring look on me I still felt alone, alone against fate. I just kept silent during the ride afraid I would say something I would regret. Every time Lauren would ask me a question Camila would answer for me which I was very grateful for. I was just feeling too weird to actually talk to her. But after some time, we finally reached the beach and saw that the little party had started already. We walked out of the car and I walked to Camila quickly.
"Get me out of here.." I whispered in her ear making her giggle.
"You are the one who said yes." She stated making me pout.
"Well you're the one supposed to tell me when I'm saying shitty stuff." I said causing her to burst into laughter.
"You guys are coming?" We heard Lauren say as she was waiting for us a few meters away and we just nodded.
"Just so you know, I hate you Cabello." I said before walking towards Lauren leaving her behind.
"I love you too!" She yelled causing me to smirk and causing a small smile to creep on Lauren's lips.
"Let's not wait for her." I told Lauren and she just winked at me. We started walking knowing that Camila would follow but I knew that she would stay far enough to let me and Lauren have a real discussion.
"So, you don't talk much do you?" She asked.
"I usually do." I answered simply stating at the sand we were walking on.
"So why not with me? What makes that you don't talk around me?" She asked.
"I don't know Lauren, maybe you make me shy." I said without even thinking about it but my eyes widening as soon as I realized what I had just said.
"Why would I make you shy?" She asked startled but also amused. I finally looked up to meet her eyes and at that moment I swore I had no control over my brain or my mouth or anything in my mind.
"You are the kind of girl that makes everybody shy." I said as I gazed and her and saw her eyes widen then soften as if she was extremely pleased by my answer. I shook my head finally coming back to myself. She was about to talk but thank God Camila appeared behind us and jumped on my back making me giggle.
"You wanted to get away from me DIDNT you?" She said in my ear and I nodded making her fake being offended. "Guess what sweetheart? You and I we are forever." She added making me smile knowing perfectly that it was true, our friendship was gonna last forever, literally. I shot a quick glance at Lauren who looked at us with some kind of joy but also what I would define as envy. That made me frown but I didn't question it as Lauren started walking to their friends and I followed her, piggy backing Camila.
"Can I ask you something?" She whispered low enough so Lauren wouldn't hear her and I just nodded. "Is your goal to make her fall in love with you again?" She asked making me stop dead in tracks. "Because if you continue saying stuff like earlier, I know she will fall. And we both know how that's going to end. I don't want to see the story repeat itself." She explained after I set her on the ground. She was right. I couldn't let the story repeat itself, it would kill me this time.
"Don't worry Camila. I got this." Was all i could and although she knew I was lying she didn't say a word, just took my hand and finally we joined the group of friends that was gathered around a fire on the beach. Lauren was already there, and to my most displeasure, she was sitting next to Luis, her ex boyfriend. I frowned when I looked at her but quickly shrugged it off focusing on Camila as she started speaking.
"So guys, this is Y/N, she is one of my best friends. Although she can take care of herself, Please don't be dicks." She said making me chuckle before everybody greeted me and Camila finally sat me next to Dinah.
"It's nice to meet you girl." she said politely.
"Same here. Camila talks about you a lot." I said making Camila slap my arm
"Does she?" Dinah said with a flirtatious smile on her face.
"No I don't. Get over yourself Dinah." She said with a smug grin making me smile. The evening was passing by really cool and it was nice to feel like I had friends. Every now and then though I'd throw a quick glance in Lauren's direction but she never was looking back which pained me. Instead she was just hanging on to every word that got out Luis and his friends' mouths. I couldn't take it anymore and turned to Camz.
"I don't get it. How come luis and Lauren are back to being close?" I asked.
"Maybe because they are back together." Camila said guilt all over her face. My eyes widened and unconsciously I started staring at Lauren, making my heart break even more as he slid his hand down her arm and took her hand in his. I couldn't take my eyes off of her as I just felt every part of my body ripping in dolor. That's when she met my eyes and she probably understood something was wrong since she frowned, concern on her face. I couldn't take it anymore and got up, and extended my hand for Camila to grab.
"Let's go." I said making her take my hand without even question me.
"Where are we going?" She asked and I smirked.
"Skinny dipping." I said making her eyes widen but all the others to cheer.
"We are not going skinny dipping." She said shaking her head no as a small smile creeped on her face.
"Stop acting like a prude." I said out loud before whispering in her ear. "I've seen you do things worse than skinny dipping." I said playfully causing her to slap my arm.
"Very well." She said taking her shirt off and looking at me challengingly. "First one in the water." She said before running towards the see. I laughed before turning around towards the others.
"Anyone wants to join?" I asked politely and immediately Dinah and two other friends, Normani and Ally got up, followed by some guy named Dean. They all ran towards the water and I followed quickly. I watched them one by one taking their clothes off and enter the cold water in their underwear. It was really funny to hear the girls scream especially Ally. Dinah was just cursing while Normani instantly dived in the water like a Bo$$. I was about to take my shirt off when I heard a voice from behind.
"You've got some crazy ideas." I didn't bother to turn around already knowing that I would meet green eyes.
"Isn't your boyfriend GONNA join us?" I questioned in a firm and snapping tone.
"Uhm no..he doesn't like it when the water is cold." She answered while I just chuckled. My hands found the hem of my shirt and I finally took it off. I immediately heard Lauren's breath hitch and her heartbeat fastening at the sight at my half naked upper body. I couldn't help but smirk since I knew that my body still had an effect on her despite the fact that she didn't have our memories anymore. I turned around to face her.
"What are you waiting for?" I asked as I undid my zipper.
"Aren't you afraid you'll be cold?" She asked.
"The cold never bothered me anyway." I sang before laughing along with her. We were interrupted by Camila calling us from inside the water.
"Come on guys!" She yelled and before I knew it I was already in the water, throwing some towards Lauren trying to make her get in faster. Quickly she took her clothes off and I couldn't help but have a look at her body, a body I missed having closed to me. I was staring at her hungrily, I knew it. And apparently she knew it since she was looking down her cheeks reddened. I shrugged it off before turning around and starting swimming towards the others leaving Lauren behind since I knew that I wouldn't be in control of anything with her dressed like that.
