Amelia and Link one shots

Gravity Blanket

"Have you seen Link?" I ask running behind Meredith and Maggie so I can catch up to them as they walk down the corridor

Meredith shakes her head and Maggie replies with a simple "No"
I sigh frustrated

"why, do you need him?" Meredith asks me with her brows furrowed

"uhhhh" I moan "I really want some gravity blanket" I sigh exasperated

"some what?" she asks giggling

"you don't want to know" Maggie tells her

I just roll my eyes "I don't know where he is, I've looked everywhere"

"Well, have you checked an OR?" Maggie asks me

"No" I say sheepishly

"He's a doctor Amelia, he's probably in surgery" she says stating the obvious

"I know that! I was just hoping he'd be around" I sigh

"Well, I hope you find him" Meredith says as she turns to Maggie to hand her the tablet. Maggie takes it off her and looks at me.

"Yeah I hope you have fun with your gravity blanket" she smirks "but we've got a patient, see ya"

"I hate you" I chuckle whilst giving them a small wave goodbye.

I'd just finished with a neuro consult when I bumped into Link in the corridor

"oh thank god" I breathed whilst grabbing his arm so I could take him away

"whoah, where are we going?" he asks laughing

"on call room" I say with urgency
His arm pulls away from me and I turn to look at him confused.

"oh sorry, I gotta a surgery" he grimaces

"What? No" I pout

"I've got an arthrocsospy" he tells me

"ugh" I moan

"What's wrong?" he asks concerned

I shake my head "nothing, I'm just craving some gravity blanket" I smile.

He smiles too "well, a kiss will have to do for now" he says pressing his lips against mine "I'll find you after surgery though, okay?" he says

I pull a face "can't your surgery wait we'll only be like five minutes" I groan

He chuckles to himeslf "I'm sorry" he says standing close to me so he can press his lips against my forehead, I lean into him and moan ever so slightly.

Schmitt suddenly appears ruining the moment "everything's prepped for you Dr Lincoln" he informs us
Link looks towards Schmitt and then back at me. I give him a weak smile, "I gotta go" he tells me, he removes his arms from my waist and turns around to head towards the OR, as he opens the doors he turns to look at me "I'll find you once I've done" he says
I was sitting in the cafeteria waiting patiently for Link. I was sat with Jo and she talking to me about her research for the lab but too be honest I wasn't listening to anything she was saying, I was thinking about Link and hoping he'd be quick - I was desperate for some gravity blanket.

My eyes widened as soon as I saw the door open to reveal Link and I rose from my seat "I gotta go" I told Jo whilst rushing off to Link. He smiled as he saw me approaching him and I grabbed his hand and pulled him into the nearest on call room.

"ughh I've been wanting this all day" I sigh

Link laughed "I'm sorry for making you wait. Do you want me on top or bottom?" he asks me

"top" I replied

"oh, I'm gonna go" a familiar voice said from the corner of the room - it was Teddy. She looked very awkward.
I could see what she was thinking and tried to reassure her "oh we're not having sex" I told her causally whilst lying down on the bed.

"oh, that's okay I'm still gonna leave you to it" she forced a smile and walked out of the room.

Link looked at me and chortled "oh, we're not having sex?" he mimicked

"Well, we're not!" I say defensively

"I know" he laughs

He sat on the edge of the bed and carefully laid his body weight on top of mine - the feeling was incredible, it really was like a thunder jacket for a dog. As soon as his body was rested on mine the anxiousnnes I had built up inside of me disappeared.

After a while, Link filled the silence "so why did you need gravity blanket so badly?" he asks

I took a breath "nothing, I was just stressed and you know, this always calms me down" I sigh

"I do know" he replied with a chortle
"do you want to talk about it? " he asks me, referencing to what was causing me to feel stressed

I shook my head "No, it's alright. I'm okay now" I say smiling

"How was your anthroscopy?" I ask him, wanting to know

"cruised through it, you know me" he says chuckling

"I do know you, you're the Ortho god" I say laughing

He laughed too and the feeling of us both laughing and being happy felt like bliss. I just felt safe and happy which were the two feelings I rarely felt until I met Link.

(Sorry if this was bad but it was an idea I had so I decided to roll with it! I loved the gravity blanket scene in Season 16 and I really hope we see them do it again next season. Thank you to everyone who is reading my stories and commenting/liking, it means so much to me. Hope you enjoyed this!)
