First Kiss - Haldir x Reader

You and Haldir are elflings for most of the story, just so you know!

You found your friend, Haldir, wandering outside in Lothlórien. Once you saw him, you ran up to him and waved.

"Good afternoon, Haldir! Do you want to play today?" you asked.

"Of course! Let's run around Lothlórien! We will be like explorers!" Haldir answered. You nodded and ran around the area with him.

Playing explorers was very fun to you. It made you feel free and very happy. Your biggest dream is to explore all of Middle-Earth.

"I love it here!" you exclaimed. "The trees are so beautiful, and the flowers are, too!"

"They are, aren't they?" Haldir asked. "I love it here, too! It's so much fun playing in Lothlórien."

As you two ran around, you saw many grown up elves smiling at you. Everyone was very polite and kind, especially to elflings.

"They are very cute aren't they?" an elf asked.

"Yes, they certainly are..." another elf replied. "It's so nice to see elflings play, as they look so happy and it just makes you happy."

You and Haldir pretended that you were being chased by an evil monster. The two of you yelled and giggled.

"Come Haldir, let's hide in that bush!" you giggled. Haldir then hid inside a bush, right before you did as well. You began to laugh a bit.

"Ssssh, we're going to get caught by the monster." Haldir whispered. This definitely didn't stop you from laughing. Your best friend then put one of his small hands over your mouth. "We can't get caught by the evil monster!"

As you two hid, Lady Galadriel saw you in the bush. "Now, what are two little elflings doing in a bush?" she asked.

"We are hiding from an evil monster!" Haldir explained.

"Ah, I see. I hope that you defeat it with your strength and bravery." Lady Galadriel smiled. "I see a lot in the two of you." She walked away slowly.

A few minutes passed before you two decided to get out from the bush. You found two sticks on the ground, picked them up, and handed one to your friend.

"These are our swords, just in case the monster tries to get us." you said. "Let's go!"

The two of you ran away, while giggling. Every time you played with Haldir, the day became a spectacular one.

You and Haldir still pretended to be chased. At one point, you tripped and fell.

"Ouch!" you cried. Haldir sat next to you to make sure that you were alright.

"Do you need to go home and heal?" Haldir asked. "Or can we continue playing?"

You decided that you weren't going to let one fall stop you from playing. You only got a tiny scratch on your knee, which doesn't seem to be a big deal.

"It's okay! We have to continue playing!" you said. Haldir nodded and you continued to run around.

"You are very strong!" Haldir noted. "It's so cool how you can get hurt and not even cry!"

You smiled. "Thank you! And you are very strong, too! We are both strong!"

"Yeah!"

The two of you laughed. Today was a very good day.

Very soon, you two were cornered. The monster was going to get you! "Oh no, Haldir, what do we do!?" you asked.

"We attack the monster!" he answered. He got out his stick and flung it around in the air, pretending that it was his sword. "I got this!"

He pretended to attack the monster, while you were shouting words of encouragement to the blond elfling. Haldir then did one last thrust of his stick and shouted happily.

"I did it! I defeated the monster!" Haldir shouted. "Yay!"

"See, you are very strong! I knew you could do it!" you said.

"Thanks!" You hugged Haldir.

"You're a hero." you told him. Then, you gave him a quick kiss on the cheek. He began to blush madly.

"Ew..." Haldir giggled.

"Mother said that it might be better if..." you hesitated. "...if it was on the lips."

Haldir scrunched his nose. You shrugged and blushed a little.

"Are you saying that we should try it? That sounds disgusting..." Haldir asked. But then he shrugged and said, "I guess we should, if your mom said that it would be better..."

You and your friend were very red. You leaned in and hesitated to give him a kiss. But then, you quickly pecked him on the lips.

"So nana wasn't right..." you said. "That was worse."

"Eww, I know, right?" Haldir said. "I never want to kiss anyone again..."

"Me neither!" You shook your head. "Now, let's continue playing explorers!"

You ran with Haldir and continued to play until it was sunset. However, you definitely weren't over the fact that you kissed Haldir.

The two of you had grown up into wonderful elves. Also, you two had married each other. You were very happy with Haldir and he was happy with you.

As you grew up, you never knew that you were actually going to enjoy kissing Haldir.

This night, you two were eating dinner in Lothlórien. You began talking about the joyful times you had as elflings.

"Haldir, do you remember all the games we played when we were young?" you asked

"Yes, I do." Haldir replied. "My favorite was explorers."

"Mine, too. I remember that day where we imagined that we were chased by a monster." you recalled. "And you attacked it with a stick..."

"Mhm. I won." Haldir laughed. "That was the time where we first kissed."

"We were being so ridiculous." you said. "I remember how grossed out we were because we thought that kissing was gross."

"I mean, we were elflings at the time. Of course we thought it was gross." your husband pointed out. "But, as we grew up, and we began to kiss a little more often, I began to enjoy it."

"Me, too." You chuckled. "When I was younger, I always thought that I would always hate it. I was very wrong."

The two of you laughed and ate the night away. You were so glad to be married to Haldir.
