Bitter Sweet

CHAPTER 2

Elizabeth

Currently at Starbucks, it's been a week since class started and right now I'm with my friend Georgina Lewis, or George for short. She's actually another one of my childhood friends, and also my classmate from ILS, she's also very tight with nicole and fritzie. She's half Filipino half American we're both studying at University of San agustin I'm taking up Psychology and she's taking up Foreign Service. The other half of our group stayed loyal to WVSU, Nicole's studying tourism while Fritzie's taking business management since she's been very good when it comes to money, and by that i mean she's rich af.

Speaking of the two, 20 minutes na kaming naghihintay sa kanila.

"Where na ang mga bruha?" Goerge asked in an irritated tone

I shrugged my shoulders, malay ko ba kung saan na ang dalawa, maybe traffic?

I took a sip of my frappe when i noticed a group just entered, judging from their uniforms; definitely nursing students. Somehow i had this feeling, my eyes began to scan them one by one, I froze when i realized it was Miguel, along with him were four more guys, probably his friends. I had this weird sudden urge to find a familiar face, but....nevermind.

"Uy beth andito kayo" Miguel waved his hand when he saw us

I smiled back at him sweetly while George just rolled her eyes, she has this attitude sometimes...but we're used to it.

He let a chuckle, trying to make George more pissed. He then left and went back to his friends but a few minutes later he went back and sat next to George.

"Bat kayong dalawa lang" he asked

Judging from George's looks she wasn't enjoying his presence, "kasi dalawa lang kami" she replied snappishly looking like she's about to cut miguels tongue there and there.

"High blood ka ghurl" Miguel bursted out laughing

I couldn't help but chuckled at the scene that I'm seeing, i swear if miguel doesn't have a girlfriend, these two would surely fit well. That is if they'd survive that long together.

Tumayo ako mula sa upuan because I was about to go to the toilet when I heard his name

"Drew tara dito" Miguel called, and at that moment i swear i froze back again.

"Shit" i said under my breath, I could feel that there was someone standing behind me, someone so near that i could actually smell their perfume.

"This is just shitty, if it was that good looking guy i saw before, then fuck I'm screwed" i thought to myself.

"Naka review ka na?" He said, and honestly not gonna fucking lie but God that guy's voice is heavenly, ang manly

"Hindi pa pare pakopya nalang"
Miguel grinned

"Upo ka muna, hindi ka naman kasya dun kina Jacob dito muna tayo"

Tumungo ako to hide my face, Oh My God talaga at katabi ko pa siya.

"Ay teka, Si George pala, George si Drew" George gave a simple smile and waved her hand

"Yung katabi mo si Elizabeth Psych sa San Ag" i smiled at him, i swear I'm trying be normal. Pero yung puso ko naghuhuramentado na.

He nod and let his reviewer out and started to read

I went on to have a conversation with Migs and George when we heard female voices na nagtatawanan kaya napalingon kaming tatlo except kay Drew na busy sa binabasa nya. Naks, studious ang future jowa ko. And as i looked back it was none other than nicole and fritzie

Lumawak ang ngiti ni Nicole nang makita kami, at mas lalong lumawak nung makitang magkatabi kami ni Drew sa couch

"Hi!" She greeted cheerfully

"We'll be right back, we'll just order muna then we're good to go." umalis silang dalawa at pumunta sa counter to order their drinks

We continued talking until makabalik sila with their frappe on their right hand.

"Tara na" Nicole said kaya napatayo kami agad ni George, I took my phone and bag with me

"Gotta go na" George said, Migs looked at us and smiled while drew nodded, still focused on his reviewer.
We started walking when there's something missing on my hand,

"Oh anyare Beth?" Nicole seems worried nung makita ang mukha ko

"Can you like hold this for awhile" binigay ko ang phone ko at frappe sakanya

"My wallet is missing what the hell" hinalungkat ko ang bag pero tangina wala

"Dipota din ko to gin butang man linte" (Pota san ko nilagay yun?) i said to myself, starting to get a little pissed

"Nan kay daw hangag ka man din mo imo gin butang pag order ta gina haw?" (ayan parang tanga san mo kasi nilagay nung nag order tayo?) I stopped when I heard George

"Nakalimutan ko sa table!!" Kaya tumakbo nako pabalik ng SB, medyo malayo narin kasi ang nilakad namin

Papasok na sana ulit ako ng SB ng makita ko si Drew sa labas na parang may hinahanap. Kaya yung kanina na parang nag ma-marathon ako sa pagmamadali ay bigla akong umayos ng lakad at nilagay ko pa talaga sa likod ng aking mga taenga ang mahaba at straight na buhok, kunyare ay dalagang Filipina tayo yeah.

Dadaanan ko na sana si Drew papasok ng SB nung tinawag nya ako

"Bethany right?" OMG tinawag nya ako! Pero wait, what? Sinong Bethany?

Liningon ko sya at tinuro ko pa ang sarili ko while mouthing to him kung ako ba ang tinutukoy nya

"Yah?" At medyo hesitant pa nga sya sa pag sagot. Kung hindi lang gwapo eh, at baka mapektusan ko yun, mapektusan sa lips hehez

"I think this is yours" pinakita nya sakin ang pink rectangular wallet na hawak nya sa kaliwa nyang kamay. OMG hawak nya ang wallet ko.

I took my wallet from his hands, tryint to avoid his face.

"Thanks, hinahanap ko, babalikan ko sana" Feeling ko matutunaw ako any moment because of the way he's looking at me. Na wiweirduhan na siguru to sakin. Bawas ganda point shocks.

Kaya when i was about to go back to the girls i faced him one last time,

"It's Beth not Bethany, short For Elizabeth ok? My FB account is Beth Villanueva and My IG is VelBeth as in V-E-L-B-E-T-H nakuha mo?"
And after that i went on without seeing what his reaction would be.

Anak ng tipaklong hindi ko alam pano ko nagawa yun pero thanks to my guts, finollow nya ako sa IG kinagabihan at nakuha nya pang mag react ng HAHA sa shared story ko from nicole who was recording me frantically looking for my damn wallet in the middle of the mall

When i slept that night; thanks to that guy, i had this amazing sweet dream about him.
