"Unity," I looked at the floor boards, "Who made it?"

   He huffed and choked on a laugh, "My impossible childhood crush."

   "Impossible?" I tilted my head, looking back up at him as I furrowed my brow, 'How so?"

   "I only realized I actually loved her a couple of years after she supposedly died, but nothing would've happened anyways. If I did realise in time, it wouldn't have made a difference."

   "Supposedly? Why not?"

   "She supposedly died, they never found her body...in the Kouga Massacre. At the time she was only four, I was six." I nodded sadly, that seemed to be a horrible first crush.

   "You're love life is a story, you know that?"

   "Well, your whole life is. Whole clan murdered when you were young. When you lived on I'm guessing you were bullied and made fun of? Taunted? Harassed? Abused?" He looked at my on that last one with a look of pity, "Ignored?" The last one seemed to hurt the most, even though he said it the softest.

   I felt my eyes steadily become more teary as we stared at each other, all of his works sinking in. "All of the above."

   "I'm sorry."

   "Don't be. I dn't even remeber most of what happened. Just the color red, and the contract that was made." I refrained from telling him that I knew the massacre happened at the Uchiha compound.

   He nodded slowly. "Hey..." he trailed off.

   "Yes?"

   "I'm curious can I do something?"

   Something inside of me told me I could trust him, so I did. I nodded and stayed still as he scooted closer to me on the bed. He visibly sucked in a breathe, as lifted his hand up, reaching for my mask. I bit my lip for some odd reason. I even tensed as he took my anbu mask off. For a second something flashed in his eyes. Recognition, maybe?

   He gave my back my mask, scooting away from me. "What-What was that for?" I didn't put my mask back on, instead I kept looking at him.

   "Ju-Just to confirm something," he looked at me, but didn't seem like he was really looking at me. "It's nothing." I cringed. I've grown to hate that word, nothing.

   People used that term for  a cover up, or just to move on form something. Since I've been lied to most of my life I've always wanted to know everything, call it  flaw. I just really hate that word, nothing is nothing because everything means something. At least that's what I believe.

   I sighed, getting up. "You can tell me when you're ready, whenever you feel is right. I've learned to be patient."

 *Sho's P.O.V.

           ........It's definately her.

   I snapped out of my thoughts. Instinctively plastering a fake smile on my face. "Yeah...ok." It faltered into a half smile as I shook away my thoughts and continued to look at her. I changed my train of thought again, fake yawning.

   "Tired?" I nodded.

   "If you don't mind, I'd like to brush my teeth first. The door to the bathroom is actually under the unfinished mural." She nodded in understanding and I stood up heading for the bathroom. "There's extra toothbrushes in the cabinet under the sink, or behiind the mirror."

 *3rd Person's P.O.V.

   After Sho finished brushing his teeth he leaned against the sink, using his arms to support his weight. He sighed heavily and ran a hand through his hair. Memories of his past flashing in and ot of his brain as he made the connection. He knew Thao. She was the supposed dead girl who made the unfinished mural.

   Back then she used to make him all sorts of art. He had a scratchbook hidden under lock and key, but there were some scraps of paper she would draw on and leave in random places, because she didn't like the cleaness of his room. He chuckled at the old memory. With her brother, they were the three musketeers. And he'd always just to think that without her brother, him and said girl would be like Romeo and Juliet.

   In truth, as soon as he saw her up close he knew it was her, even if it was just partly and not straight on, even if it was just a little; he remembered.. He just never believed it, he thought it was a trick, illusion, maybe the transformation jutsu, but he confirmed it. And sonner or later, since Thao didn't remember her past, he'd have to tell her sooner or later. He prefered later, but he knew better.

                                                   I'll tell her tomorrow.

 ~~~~~~~~~~~
   Thao blew her hair out of her face and layed back on Sho's bed. The gears in her head working up questions, hypothesis, theories. The more she thought the more her head hurt. She finally gave up, deciding to wait till later on. She was patient after all, and with time she knew she was going to know about what happened when she was four.
   She turned on her side, facing the mural.
                             The meaning was 'Unity'  Is that truly unattainable?
             what where the two forces the mystery girl from Sho's past wanted to unite?
                                                              Before knowing it, Thao fell asleep.
