Abi's P.O.V. *Time skip to New Years Eve*

The music was already blaring and it was only 7pm, I wasn't even dressed yet. I was still laid in bed, cuddled up next to Clint as I listened to him sing along softly to the song that was playing through the new speaker I had gotten him for Christmas.

"We need to get ready." I said with a sigh.

"We don't have to be there right away." Clint groaned, burying his head into the crook of my neck.

"I know, but it's going to take at least half an hour for me to get ready, longer if you carry on like this." I said with a small smile.

"How about we just don't go?" He suggested.

"We promised Tony though, and it'll be fun." I said as I sat up.

I looked over at the bags in front of my closet, we had all been shopping earlier today, Tony insisted we all bought new outfits for tonight's party; the theme was masquerade. I had brought myself an emerald green dress, it was full length and almost touched the floor. I had a pair of gold flats and a green and gold mask to go with it, Clint hadn't seen my outfit and I hadn't seen his either but I knew Tony had assigned each of the guys a colour. I couldn't wait to see what colour Clint had, I just hoped it wasn't green because the jokes from Tony would be endless.

"Come on, you need to leave so I can get ready." I said.

"Can't I just stay?" He asked with a smirk.

"No, you need to go get ready too." I said as I pulled him out of the bed.

I was starting to get my energy back a little, the pills the doctor had given me were really starting to kick in. Clint tried to resist but I still somehow managed to get him out of the bed and out of the door. I quickly closed the door behind him and started getting changed, getting out of my sweatpants and Clint's hoodie before slipping into my dress. I did a little twirl in front of the mirror and smiled, I loved the colour of this dress so much. It was already 7:30pm when I finally sat down to start messing with my hair and half an hour later I was finally done. I slipped on my shoes and stepped out, heading towards the living room as I prayed I would spot someone I knew straight away. My eyes scanned the room and landed on who I hoped was Sam stood next to Rhodey, I made a beeline for them and they smiled when they saw me.

"Wow Abi, you look amazing." Sam said.

"Thanks." I said with a smile, thankful my mask covered my blushing cheeks.

"Don't tell Clint I said that, he'll have my head." He said, making me chuckle.

"I love the mask." Rhodey said.

"Mine? Yours is amazing." I said.

His mask was a dark red with silver patterns around the eyes, it looked so cool, but so did Sam's; it was split in half vertically but covered all of his forehead too, it was silver with black edging and swirls around the eye.

"Have you seen any of the others? Clint? Tony?" I asked.

"Knowing Tony, he's probably over by the bar." Sam said and Rhodey agreed.

I nodded and pushed my way through the crowd, trying to get to the bar. When I made my way over there, Tony was nowhere in sight but Bruce was sat at the bar, sipping a glass of lemonade.

"Hey." I said, getting his attention.

"Abi! I didn't expect to see you here." He said.

"Yeah I know, me neither, but here I am. Love the suit by the way." I said.
