Abi's P.O.V.

I pulled away and made my way back to my room, changing into Clint's t-shirt before climbing into bed. As soon as my head hit the pillow I fell into a deep sleep. I was woken by a loud crash coming from Clint's room, I sat bolt upright and waited in case there was another crash. A few seconds after the first crash there was a knock at my door, I slowly got up and opened the door. Stood in front of me was Clint, and he looked a mess; his eyes were red and his face was really pale.

"Clint what's going on?" I asked.

He opened his mouth to say something but turned away from me and threw up all over the floor. The smell of alcohol filled the air, it turned my stomach and made me want to cry, thoughts of my parents flooding into my head. I quickly grabbed my phone and called Steve, knowing they were still in the lab as the music was still blasting, but I got no answer so I called Bruce instead.

"Bruce?" I said.

"Abi, what's up?" He asked.

"I need to talk to Steve." I said quickly.

"I'll hand you over." He said.

The line went quiet for a second before Steve answered.

"Abi?" He said.

"Steve, you need to get up here now. Clint's back." I said quickly.

"On my way." He said before ending the call.

A few minutes later the elevator doors opened and Steve came running over. Clint was slouched against the wall, and thankfully he hadn't been sick again yet.

"What's going on?" He asked.

"He's been drinking and was sick and I just... I can't." I said and I walked back into my room, slamming the door behind me.

I sat on my bed, playing on my phone because I just couldn't go back to sleep. I played games for a while until there was a knock on my door, I looked up as it opened and saw Steve stood there, I quickly got up from my bed.

"I'm so sorry." I said, tears falling down my cheeks.

"Hey, hey, don't cry. It's okay, you have nothing to apologise for." He said as he pulled me in for a hug.

We stood there for a while, hugging, until I calmed down. He sat me down on the edge of my bed then took a seat next to me and he looked down at me.

"What's going on?" He asked softly.

"The smell, it just.... my parents they used to drink a lot, and when they drank they...." I started but I couldn't finish.

He pulled me into another hug as he stroked my hair, he was tense though and it was probably becuase of what I just told him.

"It's alright, it won't happen again, we are all here to protect you." He said.

After a while I finally calmed down, but all that crying tired me out and soon enough I fell asleep, Steve's arms still hugging me tightly. I was woken up by the sun shining through the curtains and into my eyes, I let out a yawn before swinging my legs over the edge of the bed and standing up. I was about to leave when I realised I was only wearing Clint's top, I quickly pulled on a pair of sweatpants before making my way to the kitchen for breakfast. As I made my way in, I saw Steve in the kitchen and the others were all on the couch, well apart from Clint. He was nowhere to be seen, but that was no surprise after the state he was in yesterday. The looks I was getting from the others made me feel uncomfortable, I quickly made my way over to where Steve was stood.

"You didn't tell them what I told you last night did you?" I whispered.

"Of course not." He said, almost looking hurt that I could think he would do that.
