We bought seven sandwiches from subway, the boy behind the counter gave us a funny look but I just shrugged it off as we made our way back down to the car. I piled all of my bags into the back seats whilst Steve put his into the trunk before climbing into the drivers seat. We managed to get back before 12pm and we carried everything upstairs, carrying a big box and seven bags wasn't easy but I managed it. I dumped all of the presents into my closet so Clint wouldn't find them before I made my way into the kitchen. Everyone was sat on the couch and when they saw us walk in they all jumped up and ran over to the table.

"Where did you two go?" Clint asked.

"Christmas shopping, and I bought us all subway." I said, earning cheers from Tony and Bruce.

We all sat around the table and ate, Clint sat beside me and before he started eating he turned to me.

"Why didn't you take me shopping?" He asked.

"I didn't want you seeing your present." I said.

He nodded and started eating his sandwich.

"You left buying presents a little late didn't you?" Tony said.

"We still have 25 days till Christmas. When did you guys buy presents?" I asked.

"Like a month ago." They all said.

"Well Steve only just bought his presents too!" I protested.

"Steve always leaves it late." Bruce said with a shrug.

Steve just shook his head and finished eating his sandwich.

"I would have thought Tony was the least prepared." I said.

"Oh please, I'm always prepared." Tony said.

Tony pulled his wallet out of his pocket and took out a condom.

"See." He said with a grin.

"Very funny." I said.

"Although maybe I should give it to Clint, seems he will need it before me." He said.

"Shut up Tony." Clint said.

"When are you gonna give this up? It's none of your business what we do." I said, glaring at him.

"I'm not going to give this up, it's funny how uncomfortable it makes the two of you." He said as he put the condom back in his wallet.

"Just ignore him." Clint said, taking my hand in his.

I nodded and finished my sandwich before throwing the wrapper into the bin.

"Come on, lets go watch a film." Clint said, pulling me towards the bedroom.

I heard Tony make some stupid joke but I didn't catch all of it so I just ignored him. We spent the rest of the day laid in my bed watching films and by about 7pm I'd fallen asleep, all that shopping had really tired me out.

I was woken the next morning by a cold gust of air hitting my side, I looked over to see Clint was no longer beside me. I wrapped the blanket around myself as I walked out of my room, I was about to go to the kitchen when I heard movement from in his room. He opened the door, making me jump, and looked surprised to see me.

"Did I wake you?" He asked.

"No." I said, shaking my head.

"Go back to bed, it's really early." He said.

"Where are you going?" I asked, noticing he was all dressed up ready to brave the cold weather.

"I'm going tree hunting." He said.

It was the 1st today, the day Clint does all of the decorating, my bet with Steve popped into my head.

"Can I come with you?" I asked.

"Sure, go get ready and make sure you wrap up, it's cold outside." He said and I nodded before going back into my room.

I quickly got dressed and put on my timberland boots before slipping Clint's hoodie on and walking out. I grabbed Pepper's coat, I still hadn't gotten my own one but Tony said I could borrow hers until I did eventually buy my own.

"Ready?" Clint asked me.

"Yeah." I said and we made our way down to the garage.

We climbed into his truck and set off, I pulled out my phone and realised it was 7:30am.

"Why are we going so early?" I asked.

"Chuck sells the best trees and he opens on the 1st of December at 8:30am so I always make sure I'm there ready for when he opens. He lives right on the outskirts of town and it's a 45 minute drive." He said.

I nodded and rested my head back, listening to Clint sing softly along to the songs that played through the radio. The journey didn't feel like 45 minutes thankfully but when we climbed out of the truck, the icy wind hit my face and made me shiver. I stuffed my hands deep in my pockets in an attempt to warm them up but nothing worked, I tried blowing on them to warm them up but even that didn't work.

"Here, take these." Clint said, handing me a pair of gloves as we walked towards rows and rows of tall Christmas trees

"Are you sure?" I asked.

He nodded and I pulled the gloves on before taking his hand in mine.

"Clint!" I heard someone call happily.

I looked up to see a man walking towards us, a smile spread across his face.

"Chuck!" Clint said as the two men hugged.

"It's good to see you." Chuck said.

"Sorry, we are a little early." Clint said.

"I don't mind opening 15 minutes early for my favourite customer. And who might this be that you've brought with you?" The man asked, looking at me.

"This is Abi, Abi meet Chuck." Clint said.

"It's good to meet you sir." I said, holding out my hand for him to shake.

He shook my hand firmly and looked into my eyes, it felt weird, as if he could look deep into my soul or something.

"Nice to meet you too. She's a keeper this one Clint, don't let go of her." He said.

"I don't plan on it." Clint said.

I felt my cheeks flush a dark red as I looked down at the floor.

"Come on then, you need to pick your tree." Chuck said.

We searched for ages, Clint pointing at trees but I said no to all of them, I knew exactly what I was looking for.

"I thought I was picky." Clint said as I said no to the 20th tree.

"I'm not picky, I just know what I'm looking for." I said with a smile.

We walked around a little longer and I stopped in my tracks when I saw it.

"There." I said, pointing at the tree.

"That's perfect." Clint said, squeezing my hand.

"Chuck!" Clint called as we walked up to the tree.

A few minutes later Chuck arrived with a chainsaw, a smile on his face.

"You found your tree?" He asked.

"We sure have." Clint said.

Chuck cut it down and put it through some sort of machine that wrapped it so we could put it on the back of the truck. Clint paid and we thanked Chuck before strapping the tree to the back of the truck and setting off. When we got back I helped Clint take it upstairs and we set it up in the living the room, it was the perfect size.

"You ready to decorate?" Clint asked me.

I sent Steve a quick smirk over Clint's shoulder before nodding, I followed him into the elevator and we went back down into the garage. He started pulling boxes around and looking through them, he pushed five boxes over towards me and started rooting around in the remaining few over in the corner. He carried one more over to me and put it on the floor in front of me, stacking two more on top of it.
