"I pull this string and a ladder will drop, leading up into the vents. I know my way round up there pretty well so it's our best bet." He said and I nodded.

A few seconds later Steve walked in and I quickly closed the door behind him.

"What's going on?" He asked.

"We're going to get revenge on Tony." Clint said.

"And we need your help." I added.

"What do you need me to do?" He asked sceptically.

"All you need to do is go and tell Tony that you saw Clint and I in here, I don't know, kissing or something, whatever will get Tony's attention and make him come down here. Then when he's in here I need you to lock the door from the outside so he can't leave." I said.

"That's it?" He asked.

"Yeah, but give us a minute to get all our ammo." I said.

Clint and I quickly filled the pockets on the vests and attached everything to our belts that we would need then I nodded to Steve and he left. We stood over in the back corner where our escape ladder was and waited for Tony to come in. Sure enough, his curiosity got the better of him and he walked in, Clint got him with silly string first and when I heard the lock click, I started hurling dye packs at him and every single one got him. I used up my whole can of silly string next and then turned to the paint and glitter bombs. I looked over at Clint and he was running low on ammo, I nodded to him and he got ready to pull the string, I threw two stink bombs and then two smoke bombs so that he couldn't see us escape. As soon as the smoke bombs filled the room, we raced up the ladder and pulled it back up, closing the hatch so that none of the smell or smoke could come up after us. After we moved a few metres along I couldn't take it anymore and I burst out with laughter, Clint doing the same thing.

"Did you see his face when he walked in?" He said through the laughter.

"It was priceless." I said, tears rolling down my cheeks where I was laughing so much.

We laid there laughing for a little longer then when I calmed down it dawned on me just how cramped these vents were, I was about to say something when Tony's voice echoed through.

"If you two don't want to die then you had better stay in there." He called angrily.

I just laughed again but turned to look at Clint.

"I can't stay in here for much longer, confined spaces aren't my thing." I said, closing my eyes and trying to stop myself from freaking out completely.

I heard Clint shuffling around up ahead of me and soon I felt him take my hands in his.

"Hey, hey, look at me." He said.

I opened my eyes and looked into his blue ones that were staring back at me, I felt my heart rate slowly start to decrease straight away.

"I'm right here okay? I'm going to start moving backwards and I want you to move with me, can you do that?" He asked and I nodded.

He started to back up and make his way through the vents, he had to let go of my hands so that we could both use our arms to move but he kept his eyes on me. I was amazed that he knew his way round so well up here, he didn't even have to look where he was going as we made our way through.

"Okay, we are about to go above the living room so we need to be super quiet." Clint whispered.

We slowly made our way through but as he was moving backwards the vent started to make some odd noises and all of a sudden Clint fell through. I quickly lunged forwards and grabbed his arm before he fell all the way to the ground.

"Barton!" I heard Tony yell.

I started to panic, not wanting Tony to get anywhere near Clint. My grip started to weaken but as my heart race increased I felt something change and I quickly dragged Clint back up before Tony could get him. He started to crawl away quickly and I followed after him as fast as I could but then before I had a chance to react, the part of the vent I had my hands on gave way and I fell through head first. I heard a groan and saw I had landed right on top of Steve and were in his room, my cheeks started to heat up but before I had a chance to say anything I was interrupted.

"Abi!" I heard Clint call.

"Clint I fell through!" I said as quietly as possible.

A few seconds later I saw his head appear in the hole in the vent.

"Tony is going to kill us, that's two holes we have made in the vents. Give me your hand and I'll pull you up." He said, dangling his hand down.

I jumped, trying to reach him but I was too short, I heard Steve move and before I could protest he grabbed my waist and lifted me up. I grabbed Clint's hand and he pulled me up but before we set off again, I looked down at Steve.

"Thanks." I said with a smile.

He nodded and I quickly followed after Clint, after a few minutes I heard birds chirping and the vents started to get lighter. Clint stopped and laid on his back, kicking the end of the vent open before climbing out. I was about to follow him when I heard Tony's voice.

"I knew you'd come out up here, where's Abi?" He asked.

"She fell out of the vent in Steve's room, she couldn't get back up so I came out up here." Clint said.

"That's a lie, you wouldn't have left her behind." Tony said with a scoff.

"Oh yeah? And why is that?" Clint asked.

"I've seen the two of you, we all have, the two of you definitely have a thing for each other." Tony said.

I felt my cheeks start to heat up, I hadn't really thought about it in too much detail but there was something about Clint that made me feel different. My thoughts were interrupted by Clint talking.

"When are you going to give this up? I couldn't care less about her, I just did what everyone else here would have done if they saw her get shot. I couldn't care if she left tomorrow, I could-" He said and it felt like my heart had been ripped out.

I didn't want to hear anymore of it, I climbed out of the vent and Tony had a grin on his face.

"I knew you were lying." He said.

He went to take a step towards me but I felt my hands start to heat up.

"Stay away from me." I said nervously.

He took another step towards me so I stepped back but stumbled and fell. I hadn't realised quite how close to the edge I had been and I felt weightless as I fell backwards over the edge. I heard the two guys screaming my name but I closed my eyes and accepted my fate, maybe it was better this way. I wouldn't be putting anyone else at risk with my powers, nobody else would get hurt this way. It felt as if I had been falling for ages when I felt something grip tightly around my waist, I heard a yell of pain before my head connected with something hard and I was knocked out.
