(Y/n)'s POV
You pushed the bathroom door open, releasing steam into the bedroom. You hummed quietly, adjusting the towel around your frame. Kehlani nor Jasper was in the room anymore, so you decided to go and look for them. Something told you to be quiet about opening the bedroom door, and you did. You slinked out between the crack you had created, tiptoeing into the hallway. You saw Kehlani's figure crouched down in the shadows at the edge of the hallway, which made you kind of suspicious. What is she doing, you thought, creeping up behind her. The sound of your mom's voice reached your ears, followed by a light chuckle from Jasper. You peeked into the living room, seeing your mom sitting on the edge of Jasper's lap. This confused you, but you didn't really think much of it. The last interaction you saw between them was Jasper saying the word 'maybe' and your mom getting all excited, kissing her cheek. You looked back down at your best friend, hearing her sigh lightly. Had she been listening to their conversation the whole time? You were kicked out of your thoughts when Kehlani began to stand. You quickly sprinted back to the door, pretending like you had just closed it and came out of the room. You turned, seeing Kehlani make her way towards you. "Hey, have you seen Jasper," you asked nonchalantly.
"Yeah, she's in the living room with your mom. I just came out of there." You nodded slowly, moving aside as she went back into the room. She looked kind of disappointed—sad almost. I wonder what she heard... You adjusted your towel again, going into the living room.
"Jasper," you called, folding your arms as you stood about three feet in front of her. "You're supposed to be doing a job, but, instead you're flirting with my mom," you said jokingly. Your mom scoffed, pulling you towards her and pushing you down onto Jasper's left thigh. The gem stiffened, going almost rigid in her place.
"She was not flirting. We were talking," your mom said, booping your nose. You giggled, crossing your legs.
"I know, Mom, I was just joking. But she does have a job to do. She's supposed to be helping me with my trashy outfit."
"Ooh, we're all wearing something trashy today," your mom said, clapping her hands together.
"Yep. Jasper said it's comfortable, so I decided to try it. Why are you wearing something trashy, Mom," you asked, laughing. Your mom stood up, showing off her outfit.
"Well...I would like to go to the store without any interruptions from the paparazzi or fans. So this is my disguise. Plus some shades." You giggled, standing up too.
"I think you'll still get noticed. But it's worth the try. Come on, Jasper, you gotta get the outfit," you whined, pulling on the gem's arm.
"Don't go all stiff on her, you might make the towel fall off."
"Mom," you yelled in protest, blushing hard. Your mother laughed, and Jasper chuckled, standing to her feet. You looked up at her, still always a little surprised at her height.
"I told you not to look at me like that," Jasper grumbled, covering your face with her hands as she walked behind you, leading you back down the hallway to the room.
"I still don't know what you're talking about," you singsonged as Jasper pushed the door open, removing her hands from your face. "Okay, what am I wearing?"
"This," Jasper said, pointing at three items on the bed you shared. You looked over them, shrugging before going to your suitcase and getting a pair of underwear. You slid them over your legs and under the towel without taking it off. You then grabbed the fishnet stockings Jasper picked out, and slid those over your legs next, following with the pair of ripped jean shorts. You then pulled the towel off, using your arm to shield your breasts as you began to grab a bra from your suitcase. "Nuh-uh. No bra," Jasper commanded, kicking the suitcase closed.
"What?! What do you mean no bra?"
"It's not trashy if you wear a bra. Plus, you'll be more comfortable."
"Fine, fine...alright. But I don't think I even have enough to hold this tube-top up," you said with a sigh, taking the article of clothing from the gem.
"You have plenty enough, girl, go put it on," Kehlani said from across the room. You groaned, walking into the bathroom with the towel and black tube top. You quickly put the thing on, hanging your towel back up on the rack. You then came out of the bathroom, your arms crossed over your chest in an attempt to hide. A light blush dusted across your cheeks as Kehlani and Jasper looked you over. Kehlani's facial expression was more on the neutral side, but her eyes showed an entirely different emotion. It kind of scared you, but you pushed the thought aside, telling yourself you were just imagining things. "Looks great...," Kehlani mused, her eyes darting up and down your body.
"Thanks..."
"Girls! Are you guys ready to go?"
"Yeah, Mom! Just a second!" You then grabbed your white tennis shoes, and a pair of socks before leaving the room. Kehlani was right behind you with a pair of shoes for Millie and her phone. "Oh shit," you mumbled to yourself, stopping in your tracks. "Hey, Jasper? Can you bring my phone," you yelled from your place in the hallway.
"Yeah, baby," the gem yelled back. You hummed in response, continuing to go into the living room.
"My, my, my...the trashy outfits are just amazing!" You laughed at your mother's comment, and Kehlani chuckled in amusement, taking Millie from her. You noticed Storm was in a light pink bag sitting on the couch. She sat in it quietly, her tail swishing behind her slowly.
"Uh...Mom, you know, Storm is in your bag?" Your mother nodded, putting the dishtowel back into the sink.
"Yep. Gotta bring the queen with us." You giggled as you heard the bedroom door close, Jasper's heavy footsteps making their way down the hall. The gem's outfit was completed with a pair of black slides and a matching snapback cap.
"You just went from trashy to shitty in a matter of seconds with that hat," Kehlani commented with a giggle. "And I don't mean that in a bad way at all." Jasper chuckled, showing her canines as she did so.
"No, I'd say she went from trashy to a lesbian at a frat party with a red cup in hand while standing in the corner scoping out who's hot and who's not. And then she calls you over just to tell you that you're not."
"That was...oddly specific (y/n)," your mom said hesitantly.
"Who hurt you," Jasper asked as she handed you your keys and phone.
"I don't even wanna talk about it," you said sadly. You then looked around at all of their faces, a hearty laugh escaping your throat. "I was kidding, guys!" Jasper sighed, slinging her arm over your shoulders.
"Don't do that," she said, pinching your nose as the two of you followed your mom out of her penthouse. You giggled, swatting her hand away.
