- DAY OF THE WEDDING - As she walked down the stairs Seth waited with billy and sue and beside them stood embry , in a black suit with with his hair ruffled and a blush adorning his tanned cheeks as she reached the bottom . Her hair was pinned back in a beautiful style and her violet coloured dress hugged her perfectly . " wow " Embry and Seth spoke at the same time as embry glared playfully at Seth . As she reached them he took her hand and kissed it softly " have I ever told you how beautiful you are " " you have ... but by all means tell me again " She said smiling up at him " well Layla , you , my love , are a diamond " He said as he admired her
As they walked into the wedding Layla kissed embry's cheek and went behind the curtain to see bella before she walked down the aisle . " hey bells, where's Charlie ?" " Layla , thank god your here , I thought you didn't wanna come because of Jake " " no ... bella ... i wouldn't do that to you " " good because I'm freaking out " " Edward loves you ... and after this you can be together and nobody can pull you apart " " okay ... thank you Layla ... for being such a good friend to me " " your welcome " As the two girls hugged Layla made a final tidy up of bella's veil and then she whispered " good luck " As she walked out and back to embry and Seth . " hey sorry I was just with bella " "It's okay I was just starting to worry that's all " He said as she heard the music kick in . As everyone awaited the bride she finally walked out nervously clutching Charlie's arm . Layla then tapped embry's hand and he closed his around hers as she smiled at how even with the smallest of signals he knew what she meant .
After the vows and the speeches everyone was dancing and drinking champagne . " Layla ... it's good to see you sweetheart I didn't get a chance to properly earlier " Billy spoke as she leant down to give the older man a hug " you look stunning " " thank you billy ... I'm sure Jacob will come home soon " She said as she stood back next to Seth " embry's gone to the bathroom if your wondering , so , I think I'll steal his date for a minute " The younger boy spoke cheekily as he lead her out onto the dance floor . As they began to dance slowly he said " embry's a lucky man " Layla kissed seth on the cheek as she said " thanks Seth" After a few minutes she felt a figure approach them as that oh so familiar voice spoke " mind if I cut in ?" " she's yours " And with that Seth was replaced with embry as he said " never thought Seth would be stealing my girl " As a playful smile graced his face " not even close " She said as she leant in to leave a kiss on His lips as he let his hands hold her small waist . " I love you Layla " " I love you embry " They spoke at the same time making them burst into laughter After some dancing embry abruptly stopped and held her hand as he said " jake's here come on we need to go " As she followed him Once they got to the clearing behind the cullen's house where jake now roughly moved Layla shouted " bella move !" When she didn't Layla pulled her back with her powers of movement Just in time the boys managed to wrestle Jake back as they ran off into the woods .
