(A/n) This is just the speech of my TedTalk i gave in my school in 9th standard. Kinda shitty and it was my first time addressing an audience of around 500 people, and for an introvert like me, its a big thing, believe me. lol.

Hello! Good Morning everyone!

I am here today to put a feeling that we all have, into words.

So, we all present here, have almost already experienced past 11-12 years of our lives, and at least once we had to speak in front of an audience. At first most of us would have been nervous, would be anxious, basically experienced stage fear.

Not just you, not just me, every person in this world would have either faced it earlier or still not yet reached that level.

So, what exactly is the issue of this term, "Stage Fear"?

The problem is: 'When'.

Yes, that particular point of time when we finally get the opportunity to reach that specific levels.

What is the solution then?

The solution is extremely simple, it is: Face it.

Oh my god! I said it really simply, haven't I? Yes, because it is that simple.

We, me ore you just need to prepare a bit and along with that we also need to remember that this feeling comes only once and it is destined to come once no matter how much you prepared on it. And if you have still not yet reached that level to speak, no worries but you need to speak because, you may learn something, you may teach or inspire others, you might discover that you are good at it and also it boosts your self confidence.

Let me tell you something about myself.

When I had to speak in front of an audience, I knew well, I was in 6th standard, I had to compare for the class assembly and believe me I was scared as hell!

Although when the assembly finally started, I was there comparing, or you can say stammering; but then a thought occurred to me that what would be the worst case scenario if I messed it up a little here and there.

Well, after it ended, I was like, Yeah! Not THAT bad.

I was literally shaking before the assembly but after it ended I was happy that I finally made it.

After the first chance, the fear would be eradicated within yourself, so go for the first opportunity you get or create It sooner as it is said that if opportunities do not knock, build a door.

Of course, your first attempt at something is supposed to be your experience so don't try to grab a prize or winning for that as experience is the best teacher.

Right now, right at this moment I am also having anxiety, but it is not something bad as it makes you focus that what you are doing right now is an important event going on.

Okay! So researchers claim that 85% of people while addressing have anxiety, but I completely disagree because I think that the other 15% are lying.

I bet that we all know this personality, and yeah! He is the perfect example of how we mess up with the great opportunities we get, so yeah, be less like him.

Moreover be it your first experience or 10th, you are going to feel that anxiety gathering up inside you, although it would decrease gradually.

Also, While addressing we also need to keep in mind that public speaking is a skill and not a talent, one need not be born with it and that it is learnable.

Once you have conquered your fear, next important thing is to make a good and effective speech, so that it may benefit the audience, and they look forward to your speeches. And to make a good speech, one needs to be conscious about tone modulation, pronunciation, and emphasis because if any mistake occur in these areas, WE feel under confident and also we lose THAT grip over the audience.

So, concluding, all I want to say is that we need to experience each and every event and come back with a little improvement the next time.

Thank you for the wonderful opportunity to speak up and I hope that I have satiated your needs!
