"I'm glad I met you." I smiled as Liam helped me up the stairs to my bedroom. "Glad I have one person I can count on."

"How about Daisy?" He asked looking confused.

"She's my best friend I guess, she's just different from what I remember." I sighed as we walked into my room. I sat down on my bed and took off my shoes throwing them across the room. "I've never been so happy to be home." I laughed, "Aw shit I left my coat there."

"Don't worry about it. I'll have one of the boys get it." Liam told me as he looked around my room. "I wouldn't be surprised if Harry showed up here tomorrow." He turned around, his voice low and uneasy.

"I doubt it, and if he does he can go to hell. I won't even talk to him." Who am I kidding, could I resist that even after tonight?

"Madeline, I know you're a smart girl and you make your own decisions but I really think that you should stay away from him before he hurts you in a worse way. He's capable of it." Liam sat down next to me and put his hand on my arm.

"I know, I'm just really foggy and confused right now. A lot happened really fast and I just need time to think about everything." I gave him a reassuring smile but he still looked tense.

"Yeah, I know. Alright I have to get going. You're okay right?" I nodded and he stood up checking his watch. "I'll see you monday. Last week before winter break, we can do it!" He gave me a thumbs up and I stood up to pull him into a tight hug.

"Thanks Liam, means a lot what you did tonight. Most people would have thought I was crazy." I mumbled into his chest.

"I'll only think you're crazy if you go back to him." He laughed resting his chin on my head. "I'm just kidding, but I really think you should think about all of this, seriously." He pulled me closer and kissed the top of my head.

"I will, I'll see you in school." I backed up from him and waited till he was gone to change into my pajamas. I laid in bed and I felt like there was another person on top of me, weighing me down to the point where I was struggling to breathe.

I laid up for an hour listening to my phone buzz in my pocket over and over again. Eventually I got up and looked at it.

33 missed calls all from Harry. Maybe if he had just answered my calls earlier, none of this would have happened. I let out a deep breath and sat on my bed playing the 3 voice mails he had left.

"Fuck Madeline, just pick up and stop fucking ignoring me." He shouted into the phone his breath ragged. Now he knows how I felt.

"Madeline, it's Harry please call me back I want to talk to you, please." His voice was strained and breaking every few words.

"Get the fuck off me! Madeline please come back and listen to me, please come back now." He was shouting and I heard someone in the background trying to grab the phone. "Mate stop this." Louis voice was quiet in the background. "Harry just relax and calm down." Cleo was up, trying to tame the beast. "Fuck off!" The last voicemail turned off.

My throat was tightening with each breath as I turned my phone off and laid down in bed. My eyes were fixated on the ceiling counting the little indents but even that couldn't get my mind off of it.

I was so stupid to think he may have actually liked me. "Just cause I care about you doesn't mean I like you."  I remembered him saying to me.

I guess he was right but I guess he never really cared either.

I still liked him and maybe it was because he was the first boy I've ever been close with and I was bound to like him, I don't care. There was no going back, no changing what had happened.
