Once they were positive John B was okay and not about to die  on them, they started to head back to the Chateau.

"Why'd you do it?" JJ asked, him and Gina sitting next to each other again. "You didn't know how deep he was. What if you drowned?"

"Calm down, J," she laughed. "Really, I'm okay. I just wanted to make sure John B was going to make it up to the surface. When I got down there he was about to pass out."

"Sometimes you have to think before you do something," he said.

She scoffed. "Says the boy who was shooting a gun last night." she shivered as the wind blew again.

"Here," JJ grabbed his gray sweatshirt. "I don't want you to get cold."

"Wow, what a gentleman" Gina said sarcastically as she pulled the sweatshirt over her head. "And you got what you wanted, ya know."

"What do you mean?" he asked, his eyebrows furrowed in confusion.

"You got to watch me take my shirt off and jump into the water," she smirked.

He chuckled and she noticed a bit of a blush creep onto his cheeks. "Yeah, well it was pretty hot."

"Hey guys," Kie called, pulling JJ and Gina out of their private flirty conversation. "Guys, bogey, two o'clock."

"What?" Gina looked around to see that there was in fact a boat coming toward them.

"Do you recognize that boat?" Pope asked, looking around at his friends.

"I've never seen it," Kie shook her head, her dark curls moving back and forth as she did so. "What are they doing here? The marsh is closed."

"Yeah, well they could ask us the same question, so I think we should get out of here," Gina said, standing up and trying to pull up the anchor.

"Here, let me help you," JJ said, pulling it up as well.

"Let's go!" Kie shouted as John B started the boat up.

"I don't like the look of this," John B said nervously.

"Are they coming for us?" JJ asked as they continued to pull up the heavy anchor.

"Let's go into the marsh," Gina suggested, thinking it would be the easiest place to lose them if they were following her and her friends. The Pogues continued to panic as they sailed into the marsh. None of them knew what these guys wanted. More than anything, Gina hated the unknown.

"Hey guys," Kie panicked. "They're following us!"

"Oh, this can't be good," Pope said. Him and the rest of the crew turned to look at the quickly approaching boat.

"Dude, you gotta go faster!" JJ told John B. "Gun it!"

That's when the first gunshot went off.

JJ shoved Gina to the floor of the boat, getting on top of her to shield her body with his. "Did you get hit?" he asked, scanning her body. She shook her head but he could see the fear in her beautiful brown eyes. "It's gonna be okay."

Another shot rang across the water and JJ pressed himself completely against her. Even though they were being shot at, he couldn't help but notice that the only thing separating them were their clothes. She looked hot as hell in his sweatshirt with just her bikini on underneath it. They both realized that his hand was gipping her bare thigh, but neither of them complained.

"Kie! Get down?" John B yelled.

JJ's eyes were still transfixed on the girl beneath him. They were probably about to die and all he could think about was how easy it would be to kiss her. His nose was touching hers and there was barely any space in between them.

"Yes!" Kie shouted and JJ finally turned around to see what was going on with the rest of his friends. Somehow, Kie had stopped the boat and the other three were celebrating their escape.

He picked Gina up off the ground and spun her in my arms, lost in the moment. "Pogue life man!" JJ shouted as he set the beautiful girl down and hugged her. He still wanted to kiss her, but was worried what the others would say about the stupid rule.

"What do you guys think it is?" Kie asked once they were back on the dock at John B's house.

"I don't know," John B said, bending down to open the bag he had gotten from the shipwreck. "Gotta be money, right?"

"That or a couple of keys with a street value to the low-to mid millions!" JJ said excitedly. He wrapped an arm around Gina's waist, still not totally believing none of them had been shot.

"Can we please just open the bag?" Pope exclaimed.

"Wow, Pope," Gina laughed. "That's a rare outburst of emotion. Are you feeling alright today? Are you sure you didn't get shot?"

JJ knew she was just friends with Pope and that they always made fun of each other, but he couldn't help but feel a bit jealous. He pulled Gina a bit closer to him.

"Okay, you guys are literally killing me with anticipation," Pope said. "Just open the bag! We almost died over this."

The group watched as John B opened the bag to reveal an old compas.

"Oh wow," Pope said sarcastically. "Yup. That's about right. Good job, everybody. We found a compass."

"Dude what?" JJ asked John B who was still holding the dumb compass. "It's not worth anything."

"This was my father's," John B whispered.
