“Or I’m trying to be a good host, but you can believe whatever makes you happy,” Niall replies as he stands from his seat. He starts walking away, forcing Morgan and I to follow his lead or be left behind.
After a few minutes of standing in an elevator and walking around random hallways, we arrive at a door. Niall pulls out a keychain and finds the key he’s looking for. He jiggles the key in the lock for a minute or so before realizing that he is using the wrong key, then switches to a nearly identical key.
“What was the other key for?” Morgan asks as he goes about unlocking the door.
“It’s the spare key for Liam’s flat,” he states, not bothering to turn around before opening the door. “Would you like to come in?”
“Do you have keys to all of the other lads’ apartments?” I inquire, my curiosity growing.
“No, just Liam’s. Liam has keys to them all, though, since he’s the most responsible,” he explains, leading us into the apartment.
Then why do you have keys to Liam’s flat? I silently ponder the question, but choose not to continue the conversation. “So, why did you want us to come over?” I question instead.
“Oh, uh, it’s kind of awkward… I know I only just met you both, but I need your help,” he says, his face becoming slightly flushed.
“What do you need help with?” Morgan asks before I can formulate the question.
“Well, I don’t really know how to explain it. I suppose the issue here is that I’ve been struggling in my, uhm, friendship with my best friend.”
“And we’re supposed to help you how, exactly?” Morgan questions.
“I need advice, but I can’t ask anyone in the band because they’re all busy with their own problems. Plus, you two have an amazing friendship, so I was kind of hoping that you would be able to help. Please, I need your help,” Niall pleads.
I shrug my shoulders, not entirely certain what to say. “I guess we could help, right Morgan?” I ask, turning to my friend.
“Yeah, I don’t see why not,” she agrees. “So, tell us, what exactly happened between you and your friend to cause this problem?"

*Niall’s POV*
What am I doing? What the hell am I thinking? My thoughts begin to run wild, slowly driving me insane as they do. Oh no. No, it’s too late. I can’t back down now.
“I guess we could help, right Morgan?” Rayne says, looking over at the girl in question.
“Yeah, I don’t see why not.” Morgan pauses a moment after replying before turning to face me. “So, tell us, what exactly happened between you and your friend to cause this problem?”
Can I really trust them with this information? How to put it… “Uh, this may be a tad difficult to explain… Basically, my friend overheard something I said, but I don’t know what it is.” I hesitate a moment before continuing: “From what I know, my friend freaked out because of whatever it was that I said.”
“What do you mean?” Rayne inquires.
“I mean… Well, apparently my words scared my friend away to the point that they won’t spend time with me alone anymore,” I admit.
“Just wondering, which friend is it?” Morgan questions.
Rayne raises an eyebrow at me, obviously curious as to the answer to her friend’s question.
