EMILY KING POV

"What about you?"

"What about me?" He asked, confused.

"Did Blake knows about you? Trying to kill me?"

He hissed.

"I plan to tell him once you wake up,"

"And I didn't try to kill you,"

I scoffed.

"Do you really have to do that? You know, stabbing me? Are you trying to make a point or something?"

I still can't get over the fact that I was beaten.

"Yes," He nodded.

"Forget about telling my brother about it. How about keeping it as a secret between us?"

I suggest. But, Trent shakes his head. I grow aggravated. No one can know that I've been stabbed.

"If you're gonna do that I'm gonna follow Joel to his kingdom," I threatened.

"Huh?" He looks at me with amusement dancing in his eyes.

"He lied to you. Yet, you still want to go with him?" He scoffed.

I sighed.

It's true. I can't forgive someone who lies to me.

But, can I ever forgive a stranger who stabbed me?

Planting one ugly scar on me?

Urgh! It's Blake's fault!

What is he thinking making that announcement?

A deal?

It sure sounds like a death sentence.

"Who else knows about my scar?"

"Joel, Maddie, Jeff, Aunt Melissa, Belinda, Me?" His answer caught me off guard.

No. Too many people.

"Hey, Trent,"

"Mmhm?"

"What about my parents?" I asked him in a low voice.

He goes silent before he gets up from the chair. I grabbed his wrist, stopping him from trying to walk away from me.

"Please, tell me about it. Tell me you're not the one who did it,"

"Did what?" A sudden voice came from the door.

We turn our head to see Blake and Maddie walking into the room.

"Nothing,"

They looked at us with calculating eyes.

"How are you feeling?" Maddie asked as I lower my gaze.

Not wanting her to know what's going on my mind.

"Ahem...Hey, Trent. Thanks for saving Emily...and us," Blake pat his best friend's shoulder.

"It's nothing I can't handle. Hey, uh- can I talk to you for a second?" Trent sent me a look.

"No, you can't!" I march from the bed and stand between them.

I shake my head towards Trent with pleading eyes, but he only smirks at me.
