“Oh Cecilia, you've grown into a beautiful young woman.” Mrs. Higgins complimented as she pulled me into a tight embrace.

“Please Mrs. H, call me J.J. It's the name I've been going by since we left Montana and I've grown to love it. I want the Callahan part of my life behind me.” I smiled at the woman in front of me.

“Of course sweetie.” She replied, and then I heard Holden before I could even see him.

“Damn C.C, you've grown up quite well Amiga. Sexy mamacita.” He purred and I heard Silas growl as his grip tightened on my hand. When Holden approached, Silas turned to him in a harsh but hushed tone.

“If you want to live to go back to your precious little farm in Montana, I suggest that you never speak to my mate like that again, and don't even think about touching her in any way shape of form.” Holden gulped loudly, and it was my turn to laugh.

“You're right Silas, jealousy can be sexy.” I grabbed the front of Silas's shirt and pulled him into a very sensual kiss knowing that Holden was staring at us. After about 45 seconds, I pulled back and led the way out to the truck while Silas helped Mrs. H carry her luggage.

“I made reservations at a small motel nearby.” The kind lady said quietly to Silas as we climbed into the truck.

“Nonsense ma'am. My mother has already set up the guest house for your arrival, no need to stay at some flea bag motel.” He gave her a gorgeous smile.

“Thank you, and please, call me Margret or Maggie, you too J.J.”

The rest of the trip was made in silence as Holden rode in the backseat, Mrs. H in the passenger seat, and I was in the middle with my head resting on Silas's shoulder.

“Wake up baby, we're home.” Silas whispered into my ear.

“Mmm.” Was all I said and he put one arm under my knees and one around my waist as he slid me across the seat and lifted me from the truck. “Okay, okay, I'm awake.” I whispered and he lowered me to my feet.

“Honey, why don't you take Maggie into the house and find my mother and I'll help Holden carry their bags into the guest house.” He looked slightly annoyed.

“Silas Christopher, you better be on your best behavior or you'll be sleeping at the apartment, alone.” I quietly warned him before turning back to Mrs. Higgins and led her into the house.

“Carla, I want you to meet Maggie, Louise's sister. Maggie, this is Silas's mom.” I smiled.

“Momma, Momma!” Maddy ran to me and I scooped her into my arms.

“Oh, J.J. She's gotten so big!” Maggie had tears in her eyes. “I remember the day we delivered her, how tiny was. She's so beautiful.”

“There's my peanut.” Silas was holding his arms out to Maddy and she lunged from my arms to his.

“Daddy!” She grinned.

“Wow C.C, I can't believe how big she's gotten or how dark her hair is. She really looks nothing like you.”

“First of all Holden, my name is J.J. Secondly, thanks for pointing out that my daughter resembles a sick sadistic rapist.” I snapped at him. “That's strike two Holden. You mess up once more and I'll kill you myself.” I shouted in his face as Carla placed a hand on my shoulder to calm me down.

“J.J honey, I made dinner for our guests, but Maddy has already been fed. Would you like to put her to bed while I get the table set?” I knew she was trying to give me a way to go and calm myself down. I reached to take Maddy from Silas, but he took a step back.
