Preston and I walked far from the house before either of us spoke. I drug my feet and kicked rocks as we wandered off away from the yard. I was nervous, and didn't want to talk about my past or the men that were close by, looking for me. I killed their Alpha, and they were not going to easily forgive me.

“Jasmine, before you say anything, I need to tell you two things. One, thank you for helping bring Sienna home, and two, I don't EVER want you to disobey my orders again. I am Alpha, and it is disrespectful to go against my word. Next time, you will have consequences. What were you thinking Jazz? You could have been killed!” I saw the anger and concern in his eyes, and I glanced away. “That's all I have to say... Now what did you want to talk to me about?”

“Silas will go nuts if he finds out any of this, so let's be discreet okay? The men that are left to find are a nasty bunch. I don't know Paul, but the other three, well let's just say that I got to know each of them in a way that no 15 year old should have to. They were all close to Callahan and would do anything he told them to do, including rape and murder. I know that Brock will be after me with vengeance for injuring him during the assault. I have a feeling that they will fight dirty.” I paused for a moment before continuing. “I also want to talk to you about Gran. Maddy and I would have been dead without the help she gave us. I'd like to bury her, she deserves that much.”

“I will let the pack know the dangers we are facing, without giving them any details. We will be having a memorial service for Louise as soon as we can, but we have to wait until the threat is decreased. What would you like us to do with your father's body?” He asked quietly.

“Burn the fucker.” I ran back to the house to find Silas and Maddy. Silas wrapped me in his arms.

“You know that I'm going to take care of you and Madelyn right? I'm going to love you and support you. You don't need to work, just focus on school and Maddy. I'll pay the bills and take care of you.” He kissed the tip of my nose.

“Silas, we can't live in your one bedroom apartment. Can you really support us by changing oil and rotating tires? Let me go back to the store and talk to the lady and see if she'll give me another chance. I can work part-time and go to school.” I begged.

“That lady is my grandmother, so I know she will give you another chance, and 20 more after that, but I don't want you working until you graduate. Besides, I don't just change oil and rotate tires. I own and run the garage. It was my father's and he left it to me when he passed away. I'm not millionaire by any means, but I have enough to support my family. I can afford to buy a house, I was just waiting until I met my mate. Now, stop being stubborn because I refuse to give in.” I just rolled my eyes and went to make Maddy some breakfast.

“This isn't over.” I mumbled on my way out the door.

"Oh yes my love, it is.” He replied with laughter in his voice. He followed me into the kitchen. “Baby, I'm going to find Preston and Emmett and see when we're going out to look for Callahan's men. I love you and you better keep your fine ass in the house this time.” I sighed at his statement.

“Yes sir.” I kissed him and turned back to the scrambled eggs on the stove. I put Maddy in her highchair and sat down at the table with her.

“What are we going to do today, little one? Daddy doesn't want us leaving the house so that doesn't leave us many choices. Maybe we should surprise your daddy with a nice dinner. What do you think?” She responded with a giggle.

“I think that's a lovely idea, especially if I can have you for dessert.” Silas's voice was husky.

“Thanks for ruining the surprise.” I joked while throwing a napkin at him.
