CHAPTER XXXIV          :           Shattered

It's been three days since that day when Vanna caught me with Monique, that day, I want to beat myself, fro being so stupid, for being so weak and giving in to Monique, she's been totally avoiding me, she blotters me so that I can no more come to the subdivision she's living, there's no response to my calls and texts, and whenever I text Tessa she just swears and cusses me away.

I can't blame her. It's all my fault. I hurt her. Even Victor's out of reach nowadays, he minimally answers my texts and didn't pick his phone whenever I call. So here I am now, outside Bob's trying to find and ask forgiveness from my best friend.

Everyone's busy preparing, I saw Victor but he immediately went inside Bob's office and so I followed, as I opened the door, I didn't have the chance to avoid the base ball flying through me, f*ck! That shakes my head, it's throbbing wildly,

"Should I hit him now?" I hear Victor's voice and I immediately stood up causing my head to spin, sh*t! I forgot how good of a pitcher Bob was!

"What's wrong with you!"I shouted at the two of them while I am supporting my head with both hands,

"That's what happens for being such an idiot!" Bob lectures,

"And for being such a pussy! You even can't declare your love for Vanna! And where is she now?" Victor adds to the torture,

"I swear after I got balance, I'll kick your ass!! Both of you!" and Bob throws another.

We are at the bar, I have an ice bag on my head, damn this two, after they batter me they got the nerve to laugh at how funny I looked with a swollen forehead.

"So what's the plan Mr. Casanova?" Victor teases me while serving beer to my glass.

"She got me blotter. I can't get inside the subdivision anymore." I admit.

"Learned your lesson now? Or do I have to tie you in a pole and throw base ball's to your head?" Bob threatens,

"I know! I know! It's my fault, but I can't get her to talk to me, what should I do now?" I protested,

"Ask her nicely." Victor adds, and leaves the bar,

"If I were you, I will declare my feelings for her since the day that she first sang here." Bob added,

"I was so frightened that I may not be able to give her what she wants. But since then I made sure to be beside her all the time! Isn't that enough?"

"Moron! A woman needs assurance on everything. Especially when they give their trust to a man. They need assurance because it is the man's duty to keep them safe and loved." I stare seriously at Bob,

"Once they get hurt, it's not easy to regain the trust that is shattered. They are precious beings, Archer. You should know that." Bob finishes his beer,

"If I was you, I won't be sitting here, thinking about what if's, instead I will do everything just to prove to her that I love her and I am willing to change. Saying you love her doesn't lessen your virility." And he left me there at the bar.
