chapter 2: packing the unexpected & forgotten memories pt. 2

"in this chapter, the zodiacs will come across things that are from there past and show a bit of there personalities, and the things that they pack up help them in the later future as well, also in case you're wondering why I choose this song for the chapter, this song isn't telling the zodiacs to stay in the orphanage it's telling them not to leave each other and makes them reflect on the memories of the time that they have spent together to make them more determined to succeed in escaping and having their fates rewritten.

quick authors note: also there are some scenes where it looks like the male zodiacs and female zodiacs like each other but in this book, there won't be any LGBTQ+ but that doesn't mean that I'm against the LGBTQ+ community because I myself am bisexual and bigender the reason is that right now for the first book I'm writing I just want it to be this way and I'm sorry if you were expecting that there would be gay ships, lesbian ships, or love triangles with both or just one gender I hope you can all respect my decision thank you and I hope you enjoy

as I walked away from Virgo I decided to finish folding my last two shirts and then go hang out with Leo, Cancer, and Virgo who went there a couple of seconds ago and was now sitting next to them talking while Leo was saying something that I couldn't hear, but what I did hear was Virgo doing a very exaggerated groan and Cancer giggling so I can only assume Leo made a pun which I chuckled too while shaking my head with my eyes closed and hear cc say "30 minutes left!" as I folded the rest of my two shirts and put them in my bag zipped it up and slung it over my shoulder carelessly but just as I was about to go over I felt something wrap around my shoe and I froze with fear as... unpleasant... memories coming back to me' please don't be another snake! please don't be another snake! please don't be another snake!'  I begged as I chanted those five words over and over again inside my head. you might be wondering why I didn't want there to be a snake or wondering why I thought it was a snake but for now, let's just keep that information personal... but anyway I gathered up all the courage I could muster and forced myself to lower my head down but the only problem was that I had my eyes closed so I shakily opened one eye and looked down to see my earbuds

I instantly let all the tension out of my body and breath that I didn't know I was holding in and then got a little embarrassed and just picked it up and walked back to my bed and took off my backpack and casually placed it on my bed and smiled but just as I was about to put my earbuds in my smile faltered as memories came back to why these noise-canceling devices were so important to me and let a few tears slip onto my face like wet paint onto a canvas without knowing. 

But I shook my head trying to not remember my past and stuffed my earbuds into my backpack and wiped my tears and looked around to see if anyone has noticed which thankfully they didn't and gave myself a few seconds to recompose myself and from out of nowhere I heard "its still not funny!!" and smiled knowing I could talk with someone before we had to go so I threw my bag onto my shoulder and headed over to cc's bed were Leo, Virgo, and Cancer were with their bags as well (Leo was in the middle with her bag on Virgos side, Virgo was on Leo's left with her backpack facing away from everyone while cancer had her backpack on her lap as she wrapped her arms around it). They were all so focused on their conversation that they didn't notice me approach them and once I was in front of them they still didn't see me I coughed which finally got their attention and said: "got room for one more?" with a smile on my face "of course lib! There plenty of room for everyone!!" which came from Leo in her usual tone that we all hated and/or loved (it depends on the circumstance) and smiled while I simply said "good to know." while sitting down next to Virgo and found out that they were talking about the good and bad probable upshots of leaving this place while Leo made puns which were either funny to some people (cancer) or annoying to others (Virgo) and while Leo cracked another one making cc giggle and go-go groan and bury her face into her face I couldn't help but wonder if our plan was actually going to work and I'm sure that I wasn't the only one...
