#11: when authors use OBVIOUS self inserts in zodiac stories.
Usually the author will insert themself for their own zodiac, and make the others really generic and one dimensional.
There are two major red flags for self inserts:
1. The author will give their own sign a really detailed appearance and personality, while the other signs are really vague.
2. The author will show favoritism to their own sign by having more scenes with just that sign, and giving their own sign more dialogue than everyone else.
I know I used to be guilty of this, especially in my very first zodiac book. The book was basically about a fantasy version of my life at the time, and I didn't give Gemini, Scorpio, and Sagittarius enough attention.
That's all I have to say for this one. Sorry if you thought it was short.
