May exchange 2020

Exchange requests can be sent from May 1st to May 26th. All exchanges should be completed by the morning of June 1st (CST).

***New. One of the things I both like and dislike about our club is that you have a month to complete exchanges. It's great not to be bound by weekly deadlines as a participant although it can be frustrating when you're waiting for feedback and you may not get it for a whole month. We're offering an incentive to promote quicker exchange turnaround. 

If you complete an exchange within 5 days of it being accepted by both members, voyageavecmoi, Writeranimated, bigfivedonaldduckfan, or MichelleManisha will match what you read on a story of your choice. You read 3 chapters of X's story within 5 days, and we'll read 3 of yours. We'll leave reader reaction comments (not full in-depth critiques) as we go. That's right, two-for-one reads! We're also hoping this will allow us to get to connect with more of you in the club We'll let you know in the verification comments if you qualify for speed-reads. 

You have 5 days to reply to an exchange request. After 3 days with no answer, FBE will tag you. If there is still no response, we will add a note to your exchange page indicating you are unable to accept future requests. This note will be removed once you contact us.

If there are special circumstances like you only use wattpad on weekends, or you'll be away for a week, please let us know. We don't necessarily have to attach a note to your section for holidays if you don't want, but we can inform people on your behalf that they can request elsewhere and not count them as open requests. It's not very encouraging when people send out requests and receive no answer. We understand you may be busy, but please consider it impacts others as well.

All exchange requests/replies and logging of accepted and finished requests will be posted in this chapter only.

Please inline comment on the Inbox, Outbox, Accepted and Finished sections (please don't comment on the incomplete/complete section as your comments will get lost when we update).

Please Remember

1) Tags! People won't be notified of the request you send unless you tag them. If someone hasn't replied to your request in a few days, double-check that you tagged them correctly.

2) Accepted/finished comments must include username, name of book and number of chapters (including chapter numbers i.e. ch 4-6).

3) Don't go over your open request limit. If you are new to the club, you have two. If you're returning see below.

If a user has two incomplete requests, they cannot accept any more until they're complete. If someone has a star by their name, they can accept 3. Two stars and they can accept 4 requests at a time.

All exchanges should be completed by the morning of June 1st. Participants who complete assignments on time are eligible for the prizes and rewards (extra requests/stories). Please notify me before the due date if you need an extension.

If you see any mistakes in your section (missing exchange, wrong number of chapters etc), please let us know before the end of the month so we can correct them. We do our best, but it's a lot to keep track of.

April participants: Some of you may get a credit beside your name for incomplete exchanges from last month. If your partner does not complete their exchange or part of their exchange from last month you'll be credited with this extra exchange and those chapters will also count towards your total for this month.
