This isn't a poem
Just my thoughts in stanzas
I find my mind bombarded sometimes
The same way you do
It's not right now, makes it easier for me
To try to help you
I like organizing my thoughts
Looking at it with my grounded self
Makes me feel better
Like there's a method to the madness,
If you know what i mean.
So i'll start with my way of thinking
It's like a dichotomous key
Start with two options, easy
Two different realities, one more favorable to you
But each just as likely
Play it out in your head, real life,
What would you say?
How would you feel?
What would happen afterwards?
How would it end,
And how would it start?
Think about every little thing,
Every last detail, then move on.
Take the second option
And do the same for it,
Make your thoughts seem rational
And clear, to keep your brain happy but your heart entertained
When you're done, stop
Review everything, not too in-depth,
But like scanning research;
Yes, use your thoughts as research for your thoughts
And then look at the relationship
Itself, think about what you want to feel
Not what you're feeling right now
But what would happen in both situations
When you're done with you,
Move on to them. Empathetic thoughts,
Try your best; expect less, but plan
For your most hopeful thought processes too
Now you've gathered all your information
It's all right there, in front of you
You've got it all figured out, planned out,
All they have to do is play into the game; you've got the reins
You can say something, do something
Or let them.
You can stay silent or leave the research paper
For another day
There's no question on what to think
It's just how you think
How you do what you want
Maybe you just want to be happy, content
Make sure there's a goal. Not just
Knowledge you're seeking out.
Feelings can be felt and they can be
Beautiful, and yet sometimes knowledge can kill it all.
Don't let your brain kill your heart.
Use your brain to guide your heart
And then you feel like you're under control
To soar with your emotions. Freedom.
