I wish the quiet would stay

Let me stay

In my mind,

For once.

Don't slow down,

No, keep going,

But keep the peace.

Keep it soft.

The time isn't of now

But of before now,

After now,

Soon. Later.

Let's play catch up,

Right back,

To where I should be.

But let's not.

Let's listen

To the colors

And see

The joy.

And feel the song,

Feel it like a soft ripple of water,

Over your toes.

And watch it go back,
