Push it back
And move forward
Dread the scene behind
Everything
is spinning fast
There's nothing you can find
To make it stop
And kill it all
And start all fresh and new
You end up
Near the fountain still
With all your life askew
The water bubbles,
Up and out, it feeds
The things you hate
Wish that it
Would stop and pause,
To turn around your fate
Overwhelming
Helplessness,
It screams at every fence
And all you do
Is stare at it;
None of this makes sense
But maybe something
Clicks inside,
You look around and see
The power
Of those wretched plants
That grow completely free
The strength of all
The roots ensnare
The hopes and dreams desired,
But strength is proof,
It's all in you,
A roaring, flaming fire
The weeds still thrive
The flowers die
But the sun, it will remain
The life inside
Will prosper so,
Drinking in the rain
Use the life
To fuel your days,
Just maybe you'll stay sane
Something it is
Growing, let it grow
Inside your brain
