How do you tell someone
Your true feelings?
To gain the courage
To speak up and keep speaking?
How do you ask someone
About their true feelings?
Without having to give back
The amount of secrets you've been stealing?
How do you notice
All of the little signs?
How can you be certain
That it wasn't just wondering eyes?
How do you cover up
All your insecurities?
Would they still feel the same
If they knew all my identities?
How do you stop the unsureness
Of who they've got their eye on?
How do you stop lying to yourself
And tell you you're hope is out of control again?
How do you stop the queasiness
You get when you think of them?
What would they think if they knew
I even thought of them?
How do you tell
If they feel the same way?
And how would they react
If I told them anyway?
