BENJI'S POV

I woke up the next morning with my ass hurting. Jorge gave me an ice pack to sit on for breakfast. He made pancakes (which were really good). As Jey sat down at the table, across from me, he asked "How was last night?"
"Well, it was very... pleasurable." I said, giving both of us a good laugh. "So," Jorge began, "How are you going to tell your parents that you lost your virginity?" My eyes went wide. Shit, I thought, how am I going to tell my parents? I had not thought about doing that until that moment.
Right now, it's a couple hours later, and I'm at my house. I'm sitting in the couch, Cartoon Network playing on the tv, and I'm still deciding whether I should tell my mom or not. Should I? My parents probably won't care about it. They'll probably just ask if we used a condom. Although they might disown me. You know what? Yesterday, I was confident and just did what my heart said. So, screw it. I'm telling them.
I call my mom on FaceTime, and she doesn't answer. Ugh, typical. I call her two more times before she picks up.
Me: Hey mom!
Mom: Oi, Benji! (Oi means hi in Portuguese)
Me: Is dad there?
Mom: No, he's at work.
Me: Oh, ok.
Mom: So, oque que foi? (oque que foi? = What is it?)
Me: Well, you know my boyfriend, JeyJey?
Mom: Yes?
Me: Well, I lost my virginity.
Mom: ...
Me: To him.
Mom: ...
She takes a while to respond.
Mom: About time!
Me: huh?
Mom: Me and your father met in high school and both lost our virginity when we were 16. You're a late bloomer.
Me: I-
I blush and look dumbfounded.
Mom: How is his butt?
Me: Well...
Mom: Oh... how is your butt?
Me: Fine.
Mom: Good. Was he a virgin?
Me: No.
Mom: So, he had experience. Que bom. (Que bom = How good.)
Me: Yeah, my butt is already starting to feel better. Are you gonna tell dad?
Mom: Of course! But I'll make sure he doesn't harass you like with your first kiss.
I laugh.
Me: Thanks mom. I love you!
Mom: Te amo também! (Te amo também = I love you too)
Me: Beijos (Beijos = Kisses).
Mom: Beijos.
I hang up. Why was I so scared to tell her? Moms are awesome.
